I am going to be 72Kg (so up a Kg). I have cut down the running after helping out on the BG a month ago but not the munching. I will start ramping up the training again for Dazh's race next month so hopefully that will help.

65.5 kg - finally lost a few grams

Mum, can do I will update the table tomorrow
160 lbs - no change.
Hi Sorry not posted an update again, been hitting it hard for the last few weeks and I can report some good weight loss at 91kg
Having managed to do a three day Bob Graham Round reccying weekend followed by a week running the Cornish coast path (140miles and 22,000' in 7 days) and still not lost weight (there were a lot of cream teas, beer and cake involved!), I'm taking things more seriously now and am counting calories properly for a bit. I am trying My Fitness Pal to record online my exercise and calorie consumption with the view that writing it all down will stop me kidding myself and also give me an awareness of what areas of my diet need sorting out. My weight has gone up to 139 1/2 pounds so it is time to get serious :)
Hes I used myfitnesspal to calorie count and it forced me to record things properly (in an easy way) and stop being in denial and then I lost some weight! :)
It's quite good isn't it? I have already realised that I consume far too much sugar (lots hidden in so called healthy things like Special K!) and must try and cut back. I don't want to lose much weight as I'm quite happy overall but would like to try and shift a few pounds to trim up and speed up :)
When's the next weigh in? I'm down to 81.1kg as of today.
Sorry been very late I was off running up Irish mountains and have just got back to this so weigh in is tommorow 5th.
161 lbs for me please
165lb please Daz
158 :closed:
wow...the answer to losing weight is obviously to have a migraine. I'm now 137lbs having spent all yesterday being sick. Mind you, I imagine a lot of that is fluid loss so I won't take it too seriously.
no change still 64kg, must try harder.
65kg thanks to 13 munroes in 3 days (altho mainly walking)
well that didn't work, still the same, sorry forgot yesterday, hope I'm not too late..

flipping heck...now that I make an online note of every morsel that I eat and drink and every run I do, I'm actually losing weight! Goddam those almond croissants in Cafe Nero, 350calories!!! Guess I won't be having those very often any more....or I could just run more
Oh no I have a top on today and the buttons keep popping open, I am not looking forward to next week's weigh in
Hi Martyn, I really do think it's the key for me. Because I work from home, I tend to graze and snack a lot and drink copious cups of tea plus I often think I can eat anything just because I've gone for a run but now that I log everything (and it isn't as tedious as it sounds as the website is really easy), I think twice about what I'm eating. It also offsets your exercise against your daily calorie goal so you know roughly (I don't suppose it is pinpoint accurate) how much extra you can eat. It has taught me masses about what is in things and sometimes I'll check something on their database before I decide to eat it so that I can adjust my meals and not go over my goal. I don't want to lose much or become obsessed but I do feel better for it and I reckon I'll use it whenever I feel I'm slipping back into bad habits.
Dear oh dear I have now started logging everything I eat on that pesky website, I cannot believe how much sugar I have, most if which seems to come from fruit, which I thought was ok, but maybe it isnt.
60.3kg for me. Getting there. The trouble is my appetite is becoming monstrous as I've increased my training. I can see why proper athletes have nutritionists looking after them. It can be hard to get the balance right.
I'm exactly the same. I'm a sugar fiend apparently, it is horrifying! If it helps, I've been informed that a bowl of strawberries (on their own without cream or sugar) is an excellent thing to have if you are a sugar monster because they are low GI and so the energy is released more slowly (or something like that). I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along to explain it properly :) I was given a load of homemade fudge at Open Studios and now I am having to avoid the kitchen at all costs because I have no willpower!
Interestingly, my sodium levels are way, way below the recommended amount. If I could stomach salt in my tea, perhaps that would solve that!
Woohooo!! 135lbs today.
(Amazing what you can do when you stop kidding yourself and still while eating a shedload of fudge :) )
164lb this morning please Gents.
158 lbs . Some serial coughing over the last week has burnt a few calories off
Still 135lb :) good news it's not an increase :)
Still the same 64.50kg but only just started logging everything. I have been undereating for since I started, according to the calcuations, but I am not sure the calories it states I have burnt running are correct as they are more than my Garmin by quite a large margin. Anyway going to stick with it, got a day in hills planned for Friday so should burn quite a few then, even though just walking.
163lb for this weeks weigh in.
See how that increase's after my hols.
133lb  amazing what happens when you are up and running again!!
