We had our running club pre-xmas curry last night & I received an email late afternoon from a club member based in Glenridding saying there was no way they could make it down as Kirkstone Pass was closed due to the snow and Lake Road itself very dicey, it now appears that if they had made it down they'd have different type of fun today getting back again!
veiw web cam on lake district ski club!
(raise)
It's snowing in Didsbury. Not settling mind.
I've just been walking the dog, & it's been sleeting & snowing on us, at sea level in Cheshire.
The snow is coming down now quite heavily.
We had about an inch (oops sorry 2.5 cm) of snow last night.
a good couple of inches above Holmfirth this morning. Out filming with TV about the MR
like an ice rink outside, a nice frosty covering here at foot of endle, can't see to the top of the hill for the full depth nor can i flutter my wings to get up there(past it these days)
Thigh deep in places on An Sgargoch yesterday, Glenshee had a decent covering for skiing today as well!!
Fantastic snow on top of Malham on Friday.... and it'll be even better now having snowed twice since

Awesome stuff stolly
Just wondering if anyone in Manchester has seen the lesser flashy lighted big yellow gritting lorries out at all today knowing its going to be the coldest night of the year and the roads are already freezing over and very slippery?
Bloody hell it's really bad out there now - the paths are like dancing on ice - but without the glamourous girl dancers showing you how to fall gracefully

You are good at wasting people's time KK, I'll give you that. How is your doctor anyway? Taken up any of their valuable time with pointless ailments recently?
Lily Livered......you know the rest....coward and fibber.
I'm no time waster; you seem to be having a moan about people wasting GP's time. I wonder if this is your own perceptions, experiences or if you've to listen to moaning 'in-house' as it were and are merely taking it out on the rest of us?
Happy Christmas

As such?
Please feel free to illuminate us more.
I'm big enough to admit my mistakes whereas even when proved wrong you continue to deny. Judging from your tone, I assume that you are aggrieved at being humbled in my very presence like a street urchin before the Lord of the Manor.
Gnite hon,

still got snow and ice, ice is far worse than the snow, really can't wait to go to work tomorrrow!!
You were prescribed drugs (inhaler) that you say enhanced your performance. So they either presumably cured the symptoms and you continued to waste your GPs time or you are lying about them enhancing your performance?
Either way, you're either a drug cheat or a time waster. Not much else to say, is there?
The inhaler did enhance my performance. The inhaler did not cure my symptoms as I was misdiagnosed. It's simple; very simple hon- even for you. You got yourself into a right pickle recently with the postman in Bradford didn't you?

If you say so Emily...
So you're now saying that the inhaler enhanced your racing performance so much that it managed to overcome your chest problem? A problem that was serious enough for you to go to the Doctors in the first place?
You've already said that it didn't cure the symptoms so what conclusions can we draw other than:
a) You're lying
b) Your symptoms weren't really serious enough to go to the GP with.
Just thought I'd do a little bit of fishing first.Quote:

Where did the Emily come from Adam?
The inhaler enhanced my performance - I don't recall ever mentioning racing hon. It didn't overcome my chest problem. My chest problem was misdiagnosed as it was hard to predict when it would occur. I knew the diagnosis was not correct but you seem blinkered (presumably because questioning a doctor's infallibility is taken personally by you due to it being your partner's profession). The problem, when correctly diagnosed, required a near 5 hour procedure so yes it was serious enough to warrant me going to a doctor. The doctor that i was referred to commended me on the accuracy of my description when he finally caught on what was happening. I felt very proud and my GP did not feel any slight at all. I was quite the little hero hon (as ever)
Perhaps you should change the bait when next you go fishing; it brought a poor yield yet again.

Now, in the interests of fairness- I will retire from this thread for a while. The Heathens may take a swipe when I'm gone but I will answer the little hon when I'm back later. Perhaps we can get back to talking about snow in the meantime.
For the record, I hope it stays well away my hons.

Racing or not.... How did it enhance your performance if it didn't overcome your chest problems that you were having whilst running?
Doctors make mistakes because medicine isn't an exact science. A lot of them can be attributed to the fact that they don't have enough time to spend with patients - too many time-wasters taking up valuable appointment time.Quote:

I'm glad that you weren't on the Harold Shipman jury if that's your response! Both the content and the tone of this response is so weak and frail that I'm surprised you bothered to waste your time. Disappointing and weak.
It's becoming very difficult not to assume that you have personal experience of wasting a doctor's time and are merely deflecting your own experiences onto others- given how much you harp on about it. Given the little fibs (not to mention the embarrassing side-step with the Bradford postal worker which some may deem to have 'forced' you to reveal some of your own personal details in an attempt to save face) that you've been repeatedly caught out telling on here, I have some advice for you in the event that you have some personal experience of wasting or feeling like you have wasted a doctor's time:
* Try to be as clear and concise with your GP as possible- it will be of assistance in the future; that way you will not feel like you are wasting a professional's time.
* That being said, however, you should be confident (as I was) to persist if you are not happy with the diagnosis (you may view it as a mis-diagnosis) which may, or may not, have been the result of your GP being tired or having to spend time with people who you or he/she deemed as time wasters.
As a final note- I'd hope that not too many GP's deemed many of their patients to be "time-wasters"; I'm not sure it's the caring ethos that our beloved but much maligned NHS was founded upon.
Wonderful warm Christmas wishes to you Heathen,
KK

PS- The inhaler considerably helped with my breathing (as it is designed to do) though it did not help / treat / cure / prevent the underlying problem. Can it be any straight forward?
Great club run in the High Peak Sunday morning
KK, nice of you to reply in such a long manner. I've skimmed over it but I realise that you're trying to waste my time so shan't read it fully.
So you've changed your story again. If you're to be believed (chortle) you're now saying that the inhaler DID cure the SYMPTOMS, it didn't cure the CAUSE of the symptoms. Subtle but important difference - one you should probably learn.
Regards the doctor, I can't actually recall going as an adult - I get the feeling that you're in there more than most though giving your 'expert opinion'.
Don't bother replying - I've added you to the ignore lost so can't see your posts
Hey cheeky Dr H Tool....isn't that zephr's photo from facebook....hang on, yep, it is. that's me second from the left, and it's taken on my camera!!!
and more proof it's our photo.... here it is on my blog http://runningdelights.blogspot.com/...as-social.html
and on zephr's blog http://testedtodestruction.blogspot....le-annual.html
:)
Hahahahaha Naughty Adam.....
Skimmer! That'll explain your sheer and utter ignorance.
The inhaler did not cure anything..... A bit like putting tape over your mouth but leaving your hands free at a keyboard.....it's not going to cure a lot; certainly not all your inner thoughts.
lol haha

You know all about time-wasting Heathen; you've been blown aside by the gentlest of my words. Seemingly incapable of admitting your own mistakes / fibs / deliberate misleading, you easily excuse mistakes made my medical professionals based on a whim that they have many "time wasters" to deal with. I consider that you may have been looking in the mirror when you typed that.
If I treated medical professionals with the same attitude that you treat patients then I'd consider them all to be incompetent and unsympathetic fools. Thankfully I've a more rounded view than yourself. It's called balance, hon.
