Racing or not.... How did it enhance your performance if it didn't overcome your chest problems that you were having whilst running?

My chest problem was misdiagnosed as it was hard to predict when it would occur. I knew the diagnosis was not correct but you seem blinkered (presumably because questioning a doctor's infallibility is taken personally by you due to it being your partner's profession). The problem, when correctly diagnosed, required a near 5 hour procedure so yes it was serious enough to warrant me going to a doctor. The doctor that i was referred to commended me on the accuracy of my description when he finally caught on what was happening. I felt very proud and my GP did not feel any slight at all. I was quite the little hero hon (as ever)
Doctors make mistakes because medicine isn't an exact science. A lot of them can be attributed to the fact that they don't have enough time to spend with patients - too many time-wasters taking up valuable appointment time.
