Smidge under 10miles last night, ran past a prison!
Parkrun PB at Middlesbrough this morning, new PB in 17.22, followed by a quick drive to Eaglescliffe for some car-crash sprint Orienteering. Mid doesn't work well in Oxygen Debt!
18 miles 3000' round most of the Wadsworth Trog route (missed out the final climb :o ). There was a lot of yellow direction triangles attached to gates with BigK on them west of the Oxenhope road. Not sure what that was about ?
Got dropped off in Baildon. Then trotted over the moors to Ilkley & back via The Cow & Calf Rocks to Burley-In-Wharfedale. Watching my mate do the Ilkley triathlon tomorrow & will then run back via Rombalds Moor to Burley.
A great fun stomp around the local at 9 miles and 1550ft, looking forward to a long run out tomo which should round the week off at about 44 miles. Good to be building the miles up again
15 miles from Blue Gates CP up to Cut Gate, Outer Edge, Harden Edge, Lady Cross, Windleton, Soughey Green, and then Langset. 2200 ups and downs in 2:51. Nice.
Leg 3 of the sheffield way relay today. Started the day with 2 lemsip extra strength to get breathing going.. Then 8.5 miles with plenty of climb in 1 hour 13. Speedy road running partner helped the pace but has killed the legs- ta karl if you're on here!
Burt 1163calories according to the garmin, immediately put back with interest by a sizeable sunday lunch with a jaipur on the side at the cricket inn
7m up and down Whernside yesterday with a local expert ;) and 7.9m today racing at the Viking Chase 4 Peaks. Bit tricky on all that wet stone and definitely not my finest performance but I'm just very happy to be running again.:D
Watched the Ilkley Tri (which was being won by a lady when I left - & no ladies, I am not surprised) before heading off up over Ilkley Moors. Took in High Plantation & Rombalds Moor before running back through The Cow & Calf & Ben Rhyding Golf Course & back to Burley through the fields. Felt tired. Am now trying resist opening a bottle of red to drink whilst watching Downton with The Missus.

17m yesterday, too. Over the Clwydians. Took me ages but it's the most I've done since injury and only a little stiff today.

I only wish my early mornings weren't defined by the kids jumping onto our bed at 06:40 with cries of "my light is on!".....
I shall award you marks out of ten for your marshalling. Consideration will be given to visibility, shouts of encouragement and an enthusiastic disposition. Points will be deducted for saying anything like "it's all downhill from here".
8 * 500m reps at 4:27/km
Fast hard race last night, the first in the winter series- 6.31 miles with 750ft climb in 42.34
Good to see Green flash out again, Straggler was there plus one or two others..
this morning early run was to be a recovery run of sorts, just to keep the mileage up and stretch those legs....
but what a beautiful morning, I just kept going and going- so er recovery run 15.2 miles 550ft(yes a flat run) in 1.58
winter monday series one for me last night, not quite as quick as the whippet ^ 6.31 miles with 750ft climb in 55.21, pleased with that tho....just going to have a gentle run later in the week then its Grin n Bear it on sat
45min beach/dunes run, starting to feel good again :) incidently its nearly 3 month since i ran on a road, this is due to trying to recover from an injury, just been running on beach and treadmill for few weeks and not only am i clear of injury, im also seemingly very strong. The proof will be when i race next!
5 heavy legged miles round usual haunts (Warrendale Knotts, Sugar Loaf Hill) in pitch dark to give new head torch a spin out, lovely warm breeze on the tops, and countless startled rabbits.
More beach activity for me again tonight - 8.5m loop with the first 2-3 on the beach. Must have been a high-tide as there was still a lot of water about and the sand had plenty of "give" in it...
Managed to scare a few people as I approached them on the sands / footpaths in the darkness (for once it wasn't me who was scared).
10k club run nice and steady
6m 1200' local run at lunchtime - some road and some off-road. The farmer had just cut the grass in the field I cross so I slipped in an 8 x 400m (or as close as I could get to 400m!) speed session in bare feet. It was warm out there today.
Finally managed a decent run after High Peaks 40 - did 12 miles at lunch in the Lincolnshire countryshire. Biggest hill was over a small bridge!!
5m to work and 7m home through woods and over t'moor, bloody warm un Norman!
Some good efforts! Mine was a bit meagre today, just a bit of circuit training and a 2m timetrial but yesterday I had a lovely 8m trot in the woods and by the river with a bit of photography and wildlife spotting thrown in. Can't wait until Friday's jaunt in the lakes, really hope I don't fall over quite as much this time.
20km each way to work (on the road bike) yesterday.
12km hilly trail run on Tuesday - first half at 6min/km, run back at 5min/km. Legs feeling OK, and possibly the last shirtless run of the year?
