7 miles last night - lovely on the tops over at winter hill although a little chilly as the sun went down:D
Once again I have mangaed to do chuff all, all week. Still I'm off tomorrow, so should be able to get something done.
Had to drive down to the USA Embassy in London today. Roadworks at bottom end of M1 are a damm nightmare. Anyone doing FLM this weekend allow extra time to get there.
So by the time I got back, only had time for 1/2 hour - but it felt good. NOT like Lads Leap on Sunday.
Another excellent Taper day yesterday!
Went to the trafford centre and bought Transformers the movie (original cartoon version).:D :D
Planning on 4.5 at 7 min miles this afternoon then thats it till sundays trip round the bike smoke!
In London now. A very slow run (8min/mile) (ive just got a Garmin) along by the Thames.
I actually cried this morning at the though of going out for a run :o
Then I pulled myself together and went out for about 6 miles I think  with 3 big hills thrown in the middle. Oh I am a silly billy sometimes :D
Didn't you feel better for going in the end thou?;)
:D yep. just had some maltesers.
IT'S ALL FINE NOW.
Imagine how much cake you will be able to eat calf after sunday
Lovely, short lunchtime run over the paths of the Mill Hill and Totteridge area of North London. 3.5 miles/299ft ascent. Training going well; building nicely.
5.7 miles brisk in Heaton Park.
Hilly 13 miler as taper on Sunday, then its easy week leading up to 3P.
7 miles down in and around the valley from home.
Hopefully 10 mile plus tomorrow, not decided where yet but the moors are beckoning.
20 minutes around the streets of London. Did it slow. Then did a few strides. Ran with Bisto and Pete R. Bring on 9.45 am, 22/04/07
Sleep well roady.

Tomorrow Paddys pole, first fell race in about seven or eight months maybe more
Yesterday: 2 hour bike ride on the Downs, 400m ascent. Up through Slindon to Glatting Beacon, across to Whiteways on the South Downs Way then back down through Madehurst. Glorious weather and a super sausage sarnie on the top!
Today: staggering round the house with stiff knees.
Yesterday Anni waltz
today 4 mile slow recovery run through the park and down by the river - for some reason I woke up with my legs feeling like they'd been up mountains or something:rolleyes:
As I promised myself after yesterday, 10 miles today - didn't get on to the moors so ran from home again but spent less time on the valley bottom path and more time on the hill climbs and descents from/to the bottom - the worse bit was running past the beer garden of the Bankhouse Inn:(. that said a v enjoyable run -even had a minute of rain:)
I've had a minute of rain down here as well! Almost thought the gardening was have to be put on hold!
No running, just done 2 hours weeding instead. I think I need to give up and just buy a new lawn!
12.5 miles in hills, felt strong, taking it easy now until Sunday
Walked the dog. No more training now, just winding down. I'm cooked.
Thanks Pengy!!:D
Did my recovery run in the morning but by late evening I was seizing up and as I already had my trainers on took Dave for another 'run' only short - 2 miles but 6 in total for the day (did a bit of sprinting too:D )
Hour in the gym this morning mainly stabilisation work - pooly ligament feeling it but the stabilisation is helping, then did 20 minutes of stretching - feeling much better now!
Off for a run this evening - have a window of opportunity for an hour out whilst no.1 son is at cubs:)
Aye, day off for me as well today Swoop.
13ish miles and 5500ft yesterday in about 2.45 over the Mynd.
Today? Knees sore, no muscle soreness though. Mind you, not much energy either....got tired halfway up the stairs:p
Think I'll go and get myself a doughnut :D
think I might have a day off today after FLM.
Just trying to find another mara to do so I can forget all about london!
Luckily they were the right stairs! And they seem to be getting easier as the day goes on :)
Your new avatar is also around about where I saw you coming in on the Honister path and thought "how did he get there when he was behind me when we set off up the climb to Robinson and I never saw him go past?!?"
I might have got ahead on the climb up Robinson. I was on my own for a long time on "Chris's route" but, having seen the photos of the procession on the traditional route, I'm glad I did it. If I'd stuck to my guns and gone at least another 150m in the "wrong" direction (towards Honister) coming off Dale Head I reckon I would have saved another minute or two! I'll keep that for next year.:)
Not sure if I am allowed to butt in here.. but it'd help me to post up my training now I'm trying to improve myself!!
Today...LOL.. SUPPOSED to get out of bed and do a slow 5 this morning but got duvet trouble, couldnt get the darn thing off me!!
HAVE done my core work in the work's gym at lunch though!
Calf... if you like flat and totally mentally detroying with no support you could have a go at Blackpool with me in June, well not "with" me cos you'll fly round that!! Well done for FLM!
total of 43 miles last week inc ann waltz
couldnt run yesterday , legs didnt want to play
8 miles tonite , still very tired :(
but i saw a chaffinch:) , 1st one in years
I will continue the theme of resting post mara and once again be at the pub tonight for a couple.....:p
