4 miles hilly roads, cold with some ice in places.
Cheers - Raymond
Ran to work today (and home again). Usual 3ish miles. But it was quicker today. Just mulling over why.....
- I went in later than usual which meant a) I was awake! and b) I'd had breakfast before I ran (with time to digest it)
- only had a bumbag instead of a kimmsac
- I'd recovered (?) from the KT at the weekend
- had a good night's sleep
- was really looking forward to going to work - oh dear now we've lost it totally!!!
Does anyone else wonder like this?
8.5 miles on the road!
Bit chilly to start with mind!
A min over the hour so reasonably pleased with that!
45 minutes off road around the trails in Alkrington woods. It was a bit perilous underfoot with the ice though.
Aarrgggghhhhh!!! No training for 7 days now 'cause of the worst cold I've ever had :(
And training had been going so well....legs felt good, body wasn't feeling tired, plenty of miles and plenty of ascent.
Ach well, I rarely get a cold so this should be the last one I get this winter?:)
7 miles round winter hill last night - REALLY slippy in parts had to take it really steady but a lovely clear night
swam a mile this morning and an hours spinning class to do later on this evening :D
Did you go up on the ill or just stick to the roads??
If you were up on the ill then fair play, it was slippy enough on the roads!
Up t' th'ill head torches an all - yeah, wee bit slippy slidey in places  went through the woods (can't remember the name - where the cigarette tunnel is) most of the trees were down and had to scramble around in the dark climbing over tham and looking for a visible path!!
