That's some decent weekly mileage mate:cool:

131 miles, 7,700 feet, 16.6 mph average. (after 119 and 106 miles on 2 preceding days)
Pah, yur muzzer wuz an amster:D:D
Pathetique Galles veloism:p
40 miles in about 2hrs 15min. Probably made a duff route choice. Hey ho.....
Should we all get e-Rockit bikes?
Only about 60 miles today, from Cardiff to MOnmouth... ah well, some days one has to slack off a bit ;)
erm......only 460 miles over 4 days....Tour de Galles:eek:
Dim Wibblio;)
Some good rides being done on here
Its time i did an epic i think
Tough luck Ady on the mishaps
Weather turned out better than expected for today's social ride from Whalley up to Blind Beck at the foot of Pen-Y-Ghent. 16 riders out today (work shy, retired & jobless!). Came back via Austwick, Lawkland, Wigglesworth and Chatburn with an al fresco coffe stop in Whalley. Very social pace apart from a bit of friskiness from Clitheroe back to Whalley.
Around 70 miles at 16 average.
Postively lazy at the moment.
2.5 hours cyclocross training on Sat. 37 miles from Brum to leicester last night (On road but used cross bike , large nobbly tyre's, 2hrs 2mins) and back again this am (bit slower) Was going to run but new inserts have buggered my feet up so cannot. Am hoping to race CX tomorrow night but may not make it due to work so may end up CX training again, this time in Hamsterly forest near my meeting.
Rest day today, done a bit much cycling over the last 5 days and I have a road race on Sunday
Dim Wibblio... dim wibblio... dim wibblio...
Last night... a quikc 45 minute spin at high cadence with 5 sprint intervals
Legs still seem to be working after almost 500 miles in 5 days :D
Mind you, I have a cold now to slow me down :(
No, no flu Daz, just a blocked and sniffly nose :(
It hasn't gotten worse overnight, so there is hoping I will have shifted it before Sundays race...
Another 70 today out towards the coast with 11 others. Steady away, no heroics. New Pro Race 3 tyre fitted this afternoon after my Ultremo failed miserably (replacement on the way I'm told). All de-greased and polished ready for the weekend RR. Might just have a quick spin tommoz to scuff the new tyre in a little.
I need to scuff in my track tyres, beware inhabitants of Longtown, danger alert for tomorrow, if it isn't raining, as the bike is a full blown track bike, so it is fixed and has no brakes :D
And it is rather hilly here, it is going to be so much fun :D
I found a bulge in my Ultremo R tyre the other night after perhaps 900 miles. There has been a manufacturing error with a batch of these tyres and it looks like mine was a victim of this. I have heard Schwalbe have been very good in replacing them so I emailed a picture of the fault and the production code with a slight moan that I would have to go out and buy a new tyre for a forthcoming event. Got an email this morning saying how sorry they were that I had been affected by this issue and that I had to go and buy another tyre (pro race 3) to the extent that they are sending me 2 pairs! That's over 100 quids worth of rubber. As long as they stay round that's a cracking resolution as it is on a par with the pro race 3 for performance. Cracking customer service which, as long as no further problems are encountered, will win back my custom.
51 Mile road race at Elswick. Went fairly well but missing top end fitness. Stayed in the main bunch, mixed it up, did a number of turns on the front and chased down the 3 man breakaway for the last couple of miles without success. Finished with the main, strung out group probably in the top 10. Not super fast for a road race at a tad under 25mph average but enjoyable non the less.
An hour and a half out with young lad from the village. Just a steady ride after a week off due to knee pain.
(my own fault, I did some reps on the steps of a dam wall last Monday:o)
Just set the TT up so will be looking for two sessions per day, one inside and one outside:)
Just for something different I've been and done some intervals on the bike,
2.74m warmup then,
4.92m / 400' (16:29)
0.65m recovery (2:16)
4.92m / 400' (16:56)
3.39m warmdown (11:19)
I would have done a third 4.92 mile interval but I went out too late and it had got too dark!
When I bought my Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels back in January, I had a set of Ultremo evo's put on. What a brilliant tyre! I did not get any punctures at all, using the wheels for almost all my training rides, until I rode over a sharp rock and got a picnh flat. When I changed my tube I realised the tyres had worn somewhat thin... When I checked my log it transpired they'd done over 5000 kms!!! So I changed them to Ultremo R's and got a blowout on the penultimate day of TdG  Not looked at the tyre, as I replaced the wheel and haven't had a chance to change the tube yet, but will have a look at it tonight... May well be one of the defective tyres!!! Especially as they are only a few weeks old!
I am grateful that it did not blow while descending off the Bwlch at up to 70 kms/hr
It went immediately after that, while crossing a bridge and going back up the other side of the valley... while I was going slow and got out of the saddle to push...
Monday 13m steady
Tuesday 30 mins on turbo
Wed 30m Av mph 13.5 climb 2800' (windy)
Its Stagger that does the cycling Mrs does the running.
Just 2 hrs @ 16.5 in the pouring rain, still drying out:eek:
First ride for a week, so welcome nonetheless:)
Been doiong some TT-ing, so did some TT specific training this morning... before work
So I was to be found in rush hour, riding down the A465 to Abergavenny, then up and down the A40 dual carriageway to Raglan, flatout on the TT bike, to see what I can achieve on that 10m TT course this Sunday, then ride home again... Well, that was 60 odd kms in 1hr50 minutes or so, so ok-ish :)
Two almost rest days now, and fingers crossed for Sunday, see if I can pb... even though I am pretty crap at short, sharp blasts and hate the pain of lactic acid!
Perverts, both of yer!
Listen, wot I have done is to treat my poor grubby GT ZR2000 to a deep clean, a loving polish, new brake shoes (unsurprisingly!!!), a tweak of the headset (bottom bracket nice 'n' tight), a thorough chain wash and a re-taping of the handlebars after adjusting the position of my brake hoods.
Now just looking at it lovingly hanging on the garage wall waiting for nice dry weather to return so I can give it a spin. Hey, Toff, fancing Col Du Knob this weekend??:D
Also noted the sizes on my chainset. Front is 53/39 and rear is 25/13. Is that:cool: or ????
Wheeze, well done on the bike cleaning, mine is still dirty, as I had the TT bike to attend to... and that flat tyre has not been dealt with yet either, so still riding around on a mismatched spare wheel :)
When are you planning on riding Col du Knob this weekend? I am working Saturday... TT-ing sunday morning, but planning on playing with the bike and some hills on Sunday afternoon? Either on the cross bike or on the road bike...
A brisk 35 last night in the sun and then 2 hours out on the all new and improved CX this afternoon. The front wheel got shoulder charged by an overactive terrier whilst going through some woods that saw me on my arse again
short duathlon on monday, 78 round trip to work and back yesterday (thurs) 2h.20 going 2h.00 return.
Hour or so planned CX tonight.
Doing a bit more fell running now. Kentmere last weekend, 13 miles planned tommorrow. Possible fell race or cycle ride on sun. Club outing to ride round velodrome sunday night.
Winter is coming...........so just ordered x2 of these. Free postage and cheap as chips. Reviews pretty good and light supposed to be very bright.
