Alf.... before Munich, United were just another English football club, little different to others. After 1958, because of the tragic death toll, and the sympathy they received, they gained a worldwide following. United owe a huge debt to the men who lost their lives in Munich. In many people’s eyes however, they have used the tragedy to their advantage over the years, one thing that is unquestionable however, is the disgraceful way they treated some of those lads and their families.
As a City fan the worst thing to me is how we still have some thick bastards at our club who can't see that shouting 'Munich' at them is the worst thing they could do, as they love it. They get the moral high ground and play the victim instead of being made to face the shame they should get from the way they treated the real victims. I despair at how stupid and gullible some City fans are, when they feed these phoney bastards with the ammunition.
