Although not training I think of it as a speed session. I Won my first race out right other then club races today, only a small local race but hey a win is a win. I won the Langholm Whiskey Run, hard luck to my club mates Andy and Rory who were right behind me, I am sure if they were on top form they would have pipped me. So I won a bottle of Whiskey and got two King of the hill Strava awards, Most chuffed in running it 4 min's quicker than last years winning time.

I don’t think I will win many Iain at my age, 50 in September this year, but it would be nice to get some top 3 places in the Super Vets in 2015.
Mind you, I got nothing in a Local Hill race the other week only to see the lad that finish one place behind me get 3rd in the Men’s open class, I was 4th in the Vet 40. Out of the top 10 places 7 were V40 or V50 runners. The other issue is some of the lads I run with that are in the super vet’s have taken early retirement, so train as full time athletes. Still all good fun.

An hour and half out on the bike today, roads nowhere near as quite as they where yesterday. Should get out for a quick hill run tonight, trying to get at least 1 hour of cardio six times a week either bike or run.
16 miles trail run at tempo pace with Norseman. We did the first 11.5 miles 25 min's faster than last time when we had a couple of slower lads with us (it was the Ae forest Red mountain bike route, only one cyclest overtook us and we nearly caught him again on one of the big climbs :D). After 14 miles yesterdays race really caught up with me and I struggled a bit, still all done now.
