Looked like a good day for Skiing at Glenshee.
Shame I was only able to look from the office window.
We had a random thunder storm and then hail yesterday. No snow though.
Had my first run in snow this year today.

lakes have got a covering
Was ankle deep atop Crossfell on Friday and there's been another dump of wet snow, an inch or so, on the eastside of the north Pennines today.
Very wet snow here in Ambleside. Loughrigg now white. Dodgy drive back from Great Langdale at lunchtime after this mornings' run over Lingmoor Fell - snow was drier higher up, though there was not a lot of it then. Car said it was zero degrees centigrade.
First run with snow falling this winter here in West Leeds -only lasted 15 minutes though!
Aye, we have an inch in upper Calderdale, near J23 M62 and its still coming down.
2.25 inches here in wintry Wildboarclough; and still falling.
I quite like the idea and the kids are chuffed to bits. But we're expecting friends visiting tomorrow, and they might be called off.
So mixed feelings, I guess.
Bit lying on Hawes-Ingleton Road as we came over. Must be a bit up on Ingleborough!? Unfortunately I'll be at work again tomorrow, and Sunday! :/
I just know I'll be awoken with 'Do you want to build a snowman?' So I've got in first and built one in an old pair of talons so that I can pass to the question over to the left hand side of the bed.
3 inch of lying snow this morning. Very quite and peaceful too in the fresh stuff with the dogs.
A nice layer of snow on the upper hills this morning when I was out for a run. I left my usual path and followed some sheep tracks for a while in the deeper stuff. Great fun :D I wore my Oroc 340s mainly because I knew the cobbled lane on the initial climb would be covered with solid ice as its a drainage channel off the fell and it was.
But of snow at work.

We have just had some of that "Thundersnow"
Wish it would make it's mind up. rageing blizzard at 9.00am, wall to wall blue sky by 9.30...blizzard at 10.00...now wall to wall blue sky...
'We have just had some of that "Thundersnow"'
We had it yesterday, just the one clap
It's pitch white here in Wildboarclough.
The top end of the New Chew turned out snowy 3 or 4 inches with deeper drifts - Black Hill westward was tricky with big wet flakes and 50mph wind veering more westerly. First race I've done where I could have knocked 15 minutes off my time with ski goggles!! That would have reduced my late return to 8 minutes 😜
Not my best executed score event but definitely good training for something!
Started about ten minutes ago here. I was quite surprised.
sprinkle of snow down to about 400m above Glossop onto Bleaklow/Kinder. Snake Pass still has cars going over it
A nice white coating of snow on Pendle this morning too. Should be gone by lunchtime though.
well I went for a run in probably the worst hail/snow of the day
if the pic inserts then it's the view heading to Harry Hut trig point, had to find some rocks to shelter behind the hail and snow was so painful!
Snow/frost on the tops of hills in Scotland forecasted for today/tomorrow.
a frost forecasted for some of the Dales in Yorkshire tomorrow night...the joys of summer
Snow in JULY ?
From MWIS
A ridge of high pressure will bring widely fine weather with cloud lifting
above most hills and stunning visibility from many summits.
Nevertheless, cold, with flurries of hail and snow higher Scottish areas
and a few rain showers elsewhere, mainly Borders and Pennines.
Can't believe no one has posted yet.
Snow in the peak, lakes, Scotland and wales. not lots but enough.
Definitely enough on Bleaklow to lose the trods if you aren't confident where they are. Glorious up there
