six miles this morning, finding running a big effort at the minute, not sure why, but legs just feel like lead for the first two or three miles  :(
Track work this evening for me. 10k at a steady pace considerin its warm and humid.
Couple of observations about facilities and Fatness over here
Facilities: Most schools have tracks, the one I was on tonight was olympic standard and absolutely open to anyone who wanted to use it. Dont really get that in the UK
Fatness: Now this is true - honest. Some people over here use athletic tracks to walk. Yes walk. There was a fat woman tonight with her daughter walking around the track both wearing ipods!! She had an arse as wide as a track lane - again no lie. They did 4 laps and got back in the car. I was shaking my head every time I passed em. How the hell does she hope to shrink that butt with so called "exercise" like that?
Only in the USA
It's amazng how many schools have good standard tracs for students and the public to use. This is something that our government muyst really look at with the current rebuilds which are taking place within the english school structure. It's fine to look at healthy eating and healthy schools, but more investment in to sports facilities in our prmary and secndary schools can only lead to more young people getting involved in sport and therefore increasing everyones level of health and maybe also weeding out the next generation of olympians.
6 mile steady for me today. Nice and hot but very windy as well. Off to pick Tomas up now and travel to Graburn race ready for tomorrow.
Aso had the pleasure of timing an 800m runner today on his last 500m rep. He ran 61 seconds for 500m! When I was calling times out I was wondering if my watch was bust!

I have done no training this week, I don't know why, but i really can't be arsed. Anyone else have a loss of motivation form time to time.
Did a session last night. 15 warm up, 8 x 3mins very hard off 90 seconds recovery. Long warm down.
4.5 mile this morning :)
I feel exactly the same Graeme, really can not be bothered, tried going for a run tuesday and turned back after ten minutes, no enthusiasm or energy for it, not sure what the cure is though. Not sure whether to do the race or not tonight or just watch, can't be bothered but it might force me to snap out of it?
Oh Do snap out of it Sarah
You should probably run, you'll enjoy.
I've got a weekend in the lakes coming up so hopefully that might do the trick.
Back to the Lakes again today, tonight I did the 10mile time trial.
Perhaps most reading this won't know about average cycling speed but at 24.9mph I am very happy as this was the first race i'd done this season.
And tomorrow I'm working in Glenridding all day so it would be rude not to pop along a ridge or two. I'm thinking Patterdale -St Sunday- fairfield- dollywagon- helvelyn.
