Belgian Blue - ABV 4.9% from Bradfield Brewery. IHO the best beer you can buy. Purple (ish) colour when pulled and a blue tinge to the head when allowed to settle completely - which does not happen often.
Robinsons Black Beauty. Not bad :closed:
White Horse Brewery 'Waylands Smithy Ale', Yorkshire Terrier & Brains SA down at t'Palace in Leeds tonight
Had a pint of this after The Rosedale 40 mile Ultra yesterday:

Spilled a mouthful of it on the carpet as I stumbled up the stairs however. Beautiful stuff.

a bottle of Tripel Karmeliet last night. fantastic!
big fruity (juicy pear, ripe banana) aroma and a really deep complex taste which evolved with each sip. very highly recommended 9/10
Participated in a 31 bar 'pub crawl' on Saturday in Chorlton, Manchester.
From what I remember, we had a fair few good ales!
Moorhouses - Blond Witch
Abbeydale - Deception
Marble - Pint
Bank Top - Flat Cap
still "rehydrating" after simonside...with the co-ops organic ale...disappointing :thunbdown:yet ethical
Aye, I didn't either! We started on Upper Chorlton Road near Jam Street, down to the 4 banks, out towards Stretford, left towards the green, back down Beech Road, onto Barlow Moor Road, back towards the 4 banks, then finishing up down Wilbraham Road.
Quite a bit of walking involved ;)
Well I lived there for about 3 years after Uni, been going down to Chorlton drinking for longer though. Always enjoy heading back for a few drinks, fantastic vibe and atmosphere round there.
We had our 'dinner stop' at the Horse & Jockey on Saturday, very nice pub now, they have their own real ale brewery too!
yeah indeed - they have tarted it up
largely for the better I think - it wasn't a great pub before
Beech over the road has changed hands as well
There's a place that does OK beer further down Beech Rd too - the Parlour or summat. Apparently owned by the same people who own the Castle Hotel on Oldham St in town which I think is a cracking little gaff.
Brains Original Stout
A small glass of Baileys has been left out for when Santa calls later
Just a selection over the Xmas period:
Moorhouses - Blonde Witch
Moorhouses - Pride of Pendle
Lytham - Gold
Caledonian - Deuchars
