Quite a bit of walking involved
How long were you out Hursty and how long did it take to recover from all that 'walking'? :w00t:

We began supping at midday, and finished around 10pm!

I recovered by watching every frame of the UK Snooker Championship on the Sunday, including a superb Roast Chicken Dinner.

Mind you, I've not touched an ale since, giving my liver a rest till the weekend

Ah memories!, I lived on Barlow Moor Road for 4 years - great time there. There are a lot more bars on Beach road now compare to when I lived there 15 odd years ago.

Well I lived there for about 3 years after Uni, been going down to Chorlton drinking for longer though. Always enjoy heading back for a few drinks, fantastic vibe and atmosphere round there.

We had our 'dinner stop' at the Horse & Jockey on Saturday, very nice pub now, they have their own real ale brewery too!

Loved my time there too, I lived on York Road behind the 4 Banks. Definitely plenty of pubs down there now, makes a cracking day out

yeah indeed - they have tarted it up

largely for the better I think - it wasn't a great pub before

Beech over the road has changed hands as well

There's a place that does OK beer further down Beech Rd too - the Parlour or summat. Apparently owned by the same people who own the Castle Hotel on Oldham St in town which I think is a cracking little gaff.
