and tansley hill race tonight ;)
not to technical but a lovely race
Jog with dog, The dog won!
Good effort on the bike, I have a hilly 10 mile TT next Tuesday evening but will be on turbo Friday to try and loosen my legs up.
If you are running over that way you could do the Grisedale route, there is a map posted under the Grisedale thread. Enjoy.
Are you coming to the Dales to do Bucken next Sat - it's a classic?
Legs suddendly decided they needed a rest after the weekend so had tuesday and wednesday off but ran 5 miles or so (forgot the garmin!!) last night before the clubs race.
Legs ok today - shins a bit sore - I blame the tarmac:mad:
yep best athlete , 25mph is moving alright
what bike do you ride
a bianchi by any chance
Couple of hours on the Pinarello. Heaven. Certainly nowhere near 25mph average, lots of hills:eek: Mind you, well over 25mph top speed down major hill on the way home. Don't think the car driver was too impressed as I zipped past him:D :D
about 10 miles on my bianchi
i was marco pantani all over again
then 11 miles in my new nike pegasus
seem a decent shoe, never tried them before
Got my long run in. 3 hours over some fantastic hills. Warm, sunny conditions and remarkably wind free. Even on top of Helvelyn there wasnt a breath of wind - how often can you run over such high peaks with your top off and not feel even slightly cold, even in the shadows? (girls probably never) Visibility not so good though - very hazy.
Bad news though - Ive lost my Garmin! I'm sure i put it in my bag this morning inside my sunglasses case but now i cant find the case, or my map which was with it. Im hoping i left them both somewhere in my house or garden but have looked quite thoroughly and am resigned to the fact that I may have had them robbed from my bag where i was working today.
5 x 1 mile hard today off two minutes jog recovery. Followed by 5 x 30 seconds hard.
2 mile walk/hobble...:(
20 mins across rolling fields with some shuttle runs thrown in....
First run since mid April, first step on the comeback trail.....
Glen Mona fell race - very hot !!!
grasmere gallop, 7 and a bit miles.
Nice day for a nice event. Think i was 10th. Bombed up to Cockermouth immediately afterwards to watch my mate win the Triathlon there. Then cycled home (25miles of headwind)
Nice 5 mile trail run this morning. Going to have some brunch now and then jump on the bike for a very warm and sunny 70 or so miles to the Dales I think. Hamstring is on the mend but is still stiff so no sprinting or fast downhill running yet - going to have a go at Buckden this coming weekend though.
85 miles on the bike yesterday for the whiterose classic!
not to quick as I was cycling my dad but some of the climbs were still pretty tough!
Managed to get sunburnt well and truly as well.....doh!
Look a bit like this
So much for the bike ride...........snapped mi axel after 27 miles:mad:
Steady effort for 5 miles around the river.
Followed by BBQ in't garden. Summer:)
very hot earlier :(
did a 2 1/2 hour run over the hills
1 st hour the heat killed me , not sure of the mileage but glad im upping the anti for borrowdale
cycled to the hairdressers this morning
could barely sit down on the saddle, my arse was hurting so bad from sunday's cycle
50 minutes hill work on Pendle in the mist and drizzle - made a pleasant change not to be red hot.
still very humid , 5 miles , recovery
God it is HOT out there is morning.
4.5ish miles up and down the hills of carlton in the traffic
Was that on your bike ? ;)
:D nope running today, couldn't possibly bear sitting on that saddle again today
3 mins, 1 min jog, 5 mins, 2 mins jog x 3 sets. All on flat and in Bedfordshire.
20 mins steady over hill & dale.
Foot 1, Stamina 0....
10 miles on road. I'd like to say it was an easy run (as it took 67 mins) but felt more like a steady effort TBH.
1hr 25 running, small hills then an hour and a half on the bike. Anybody would think I was training for a long distance mountain duathlon sort of thing......
1 hour around Sale and the river. Very flat and very very wet. What happened to the sun?
Having been injured since the 3P's, last night was the best I've been and managed a whole 2 miles painfree. Rest today and run again on Friday
quick run round bristol yesterday
I like bristol, i could happily go and work there :( it's far from the fells though
nothing this morning, too much to do
Not much again this week, just a short run Tuesday, still struggling, might give it another go and try a short run after work
eck 5 miles
had to cut short
biggest thunder storm here for a long time
loads of flooding , thunder lightning and stuff
nice to be muddy again though:)
Managed 10 miles midday today wearing vest and shorts. After all it is virtually midsummer.
Last night's club fell run at Edale was so cold I was wearing helly, gloves and cap.
The cap blew off at Lord's Seat it was so windy. Did an extra 20 feet of descent/ascent retrieving it!:)
10 miles again tonight, about a minute faster than Wednesdays effort.
Last night was interesting - I was in the lakes for work so took the bike with me to do the 10mile timetrial at Keswick. Was a very wet day and there were still plenty of showers on and off in the evening but I was nevertheless still hopeful of a good ride. I signed on, got my number and set off to ride the course as a decent warmup. When I got back to the start area there was only 1 other rider turned up. The timekeeper was happy to run the event for us but then the other rider had a mechanical problem and couldnt do it after all so it was called off.
As i was in my gear and ready to go I rode once around Bass Lake quite hard then drove home.
thunderstorms no training as iat that height where lightning likes me
Gave Wheeze a good going over on the local hills. Would you believe he was trying to log on to the forum as me to post glorifying comments(allegedly from me!!!) about himself and his last racing performance!!!
