Anyone think that moving the start time back by 30mins meant there were more walkers out on Whernside and Inglebugger?
I realise there were a couple of organised 3P walks going on as well.
The cut off times on the day are amended slightly by the race director based on the exact start time of the race and the weather conditions. The cut off time that I enforced as per the race director's instructions was 2.05pm - everyone arriving after this point was retired and transported back to the event field.
Another 3 peaks done & dusted - doesn't get any easier. In fact in view of the desperate attempt to make the Hill Inn cut off this year & last may have to think carefully before entering next year. Thank you Fishy for clearing up the cut off time issue - must admit was wondering (& feeling guilty) as a glance at my split times shows me being 50 seconds outside the cut off.
Thank you to all the marshalls & support out on the course - especially our very own Brett on top of Wherside - Happy Birthday - hope you're having a well deserved pint or 2.
Any decent (free!) photos out there yet ?
