What have you guys booked at denton house ?. Just the room and if so 1 or 2 nights ?. Have you booked any food or are you all getting that whilst out or bringing with you ?. Don't know if wife working those days and not waking her up at this time but if she isn't is there any space left on this trip ?. Also can i get you to reiterate the dates as ii am getting confused. Sorry for being thick.
Some people are going for 2 nights, others, like myself can only escape for 1 night! You only require bed and breakfast if you book a hotel.....or if you stay in the hostel, then you'll need to take some brekkie.
The run/walk/crawl/dance practise is on Sat 19th Dec and starts at 11 am at Scales lay-by and is approx 15k....you'll find Amex has posted the route a few pages back! Those who want to car share to Scales are meeting at Moot Hall at 10.30 am.
Afterwards it's meet in The George pub at 7pm for an aperitif. Then off down the road for an Indian feast followed by as much drinking and dancing as you can manage at The Loft.
Thank you MG i will check with wife if she is working. As i look after the children when she is.
Wouldn't it be more approoriate if they were called Peter and Rick?? :p
John and Edward Grimes aren't they???
You decided to come to this yet Hursty?
Well, all depends on if I get a job mate!
Desperately need one, had 2 days work in the last month. Trying to get something round here now.
But yeah If I earn some dosh, I'll come along.
This is becoming quite a crowd - I'm lots better one-on-one. (as a disturbingly large number of potential attendees can testify) Oh dear.
To matters slightly less embarrassing. I may need to share a shower with somebody. You see, I'm coming direct from home but its too far to go back for a shower and change and still make the pub/curry/club/park bench/somebodies back seat etc. So, can I please share a shower with somebody?
This is a genuine request, honest. Best not Tom or Al tho because irate Mothers can be very unreasonable:o
Dream on!!
Finally got round to booking caravan in at Braithwaite, excited now:D
I don't mind sharing a shower too ..... with lola that is, not amex
Is this the George we're meeting at? http://www.georgehotelkeswick.co.uk/index.html
Cheers
Fantastic Stef :D
Mr B,
Don't start on the Avatar picures please. The ones of my 'body art' went down very successfully, as did the eveningwear but then folk started to accuse me of cheating so I put on honest to goodness 'at work' pics and well...it may have been the Sig or the blinged up A2 rifle but the offers dried up quite fast:(
Thank you all for the offers of showers, at least the evening will start clean and shiny.
AMEX/EMMI
I have another taker for the Lakeland Spice do, can you add my friend, Rhonda to the list. She's not on the forum yet but is keen to have a go at this fellrunning lark, or was it the curry and dancing in The Loft, I forget which:D
im still in for curry
B**g*r!
Is this Snecky drinking mandatory for the weekend?
Cos if it is I may have to disobey the rules!
I'm far too...ahem...refined and elegant...ahem...:p.....to drink beer and especially not pints!
Maybe we could drink it from wine glasses MG :)
Or even champagne flutes  very refined :D
[QUOTE=Deejay;273985]Good, but there are kit requirements you know:DQUOTE]
thats it im not coming then :p:
It's time for my annual contribution to the forum.
I'm bang up for the run and can definitely make it, bang up for the curry but may not be able to do that, and bang up for a night on the sauce after the curry but might not be able to do that either but am more likely to be able to do the drinking than the curry. Oh and I'll have my bike with me so can go for a ride the next morning. Probably.
Right hope that's clear, see you on the 19th!
