It's all Flash based and does look pretty nice, it says unlimited storage........?
If Doms gets sorted I'll stick 'em on there. 5 of the pics I took today on my ride but I do also run there as welll!
Was a very nice day for 90% of the ride. Slightly hazy but not complaining. Back to work tommoz
Back to work tonight:mad:
Ady, stunning pics, a little misty all day here, looks very nice for the ride out you had.
Can I ask what camera you use?
It's an oldish HP with a Leica lens, only 5mp but it's OK. I literally jumped off the bike, took a couple of shots and then off again. I wanted to stop many times to snap things I saw but it breaks up the ride too much. There was a Heron by the frozen river in Langstrothdale which I wanted to stop and get a pic of it taking off when I couged loudly, also would have been some great close up shots of the partly frozen river at Gayle..........My favourite from today was the mistyish one across the fields to Cracoe fell.
I also use Autoeye which is an Adobe Photoshop plugin by Auto FX, this seems to do a great job in colour correcting images.
I have adobe photoshop elements and generally use a canon 400d. Even for a cold day there is so much warmth in your shots. From the thumbnails left to right I really like the penultimate shot, the portrait one, showing the slant, great stuff
Some good photos Ady. I love landscape and wildlife photos particularly ones taken in the winter time.
you should get to Chester Zoo Pinno, I've been a member for a few years, the winter light is gorgeous, not finding as much time this year since i've started running twice at weekends!
Photoshop elements usually comes free with certain packages, some of the Auto FX ones and Alien Skin ones do some wonderous stuff with ease. There is an oils filter which is amazing on the right sort of subject, you can see the depth and shine of the strokes, will dig one out and email you tommoz evening.
that'll be great, look forward to that.
they have some good second hand lenses at london camera exchange in chester, will let you try them too. you can borrow my 300mmm for a few weeks if you like (see what you think and i'll bring it thursday), i'm using a 400mm at the moment so won't miss it.
Thanks, would really appreciate that. So much choice available. I will pop along over the next few weeks and have a look what they have. I would like to buy one before Easter.
it opens up a new world for sure, put some seeds out for the birds and zoom right in from the comfort of your house! will give you an idea of what you can do with one if nothing else
Gonna have to go to Chester Zoo again soon, thats were i got my Panda, yes it's mine, kids loved it:cool:
so thats where that panda went.. i had my eye on it
Got up one misty morning a few weeks ago to a quite large hawk in the middle of the back garden tucking into dare I say its breakfast. It sat there for about 10 minutes oblivious to me waking everyone up to come and look. Our lawn is about a 90-100ft long and it was about 60ft from the house its not the first time this has happened either.
I could not identify what it was other than it was much bigger than a Kestrel. Sparrowhawk. We thought a buzzard perhaps? I actually got the video camera out and took video of it. Perhaps I should post a clip to see if anyone can identify what it was when I get a minute. Still curious as quite well up on my feathered friends.
A telephoto/Zoom lens would have been great.
nooo i think it has a great home where it is...off to make a cocoa and some toast with lime marmalade, back in two shakes of a lambs tail
what was it eating, a pidgeon? my guess would be a sparrowhawk.
Off to bed for an early ish night just in case our little fella wakes up and wants to play in the ruddy night garden again. Goodnight all.
night Pinno, hope you get a good nights sleep!
Off myself now, take care good people, still freezing around here:cool:
