What a great race that was, really enjoyed it :), ran my Ingleborough last year and came in in 1h 6, ran it again this year and came in under the hour at 58 mins, so happy with that and that was my 1st fell run of this year, I reckon I can slice off a few more minutes next time?may be?
Slightly disappointed with the lack of any water at the end, last year there was just a bin filled with water (that'll do me) and didn't even have that this time, none the less I'll be back next year!!!!

This is a question about the Gala more then the race (I think).
I was looking at the FRA race page and it states that no dogs are allowed in the field.
Is this in the race (running with you) or in the gala (sniffing around the event)?

Looks like an out and back, up and down job from Map my Run. Shame about no dogs in the field, I wanted to take Buster along with the Mrs.
You wont need a map unless viability is very very poor, its a very easy route to follow and as people have said mainly on bridleways its a very fast race.Quote:

Looks like it might be a bit damp. The top is quite rocky and I wouldn't fancy flats. Sticky rubber Inov-8 270/285/295/330 would be my choice
It' slippy due to the hill being limestone. Good grip on rock definately needed for this race. It's a good one. Enjoy.

I was in Bernie's cave shop and cafe when the start of the race trundled past. Recognised Rachel (aka shaunandrachel) in the pack but nobody else. I was gasping for a coke after 24 miler in the pissing rain myself so wasn't properly concentrating :). The weather turned out not too bad for the gala after about 2 o'clock I think.
It was warm when the sun came out Stolly. Claggy on top, hot on the track on the way up! Great race.

Yes, I should be up with WPette, but can't run myself as my back's playing up. Looking forward to it - this is a classic in my mind. Great running, fantastic scenery and a belting descent.
First time at this one for me. Really enjoyed it, especially that lovely brutal climb. Saw WP and daughter on the way round too.

An enjoyably tough one in ideal conditions. Just a bit f***ed off with poor position...but no excuses!
92nd for me. Just pipped in in the first half of the field :) Makes a nice change to have a good turnout of women. A lot of races that I go to have so few in it.
