That's the spirit old pal! Halton Gill Sports this weekend? 1.5m/750', a real little lung buster.
I didn't like Sedbergh either, have you done the Grisedale Horseshoe? It's a good compromise and features some big climbs.

I picked up a water bottle on the race and carried it around with me. If anyone is missing one, drop me a line with the size, colour and make and we'll see about getting it back to you.

Trev - getting round Sedbergh for the likes of me and thee is an achievement in itself, Don't be put off. I'm not sure there's a tougher 14 miler in the calendar.
I find it harder than the Three Peaks despite it's relative short distance.
You got around it, probably like me and plenty of others, off insufficient training. On a nice day when you can enjoy the views, it's a great way to spend 4 hours :)

I'm a reformed number on shorts runner :D & marshalled at Sedbergh, numbers are indeed much easier to read if on the chest and the runner will lift their waterproof (that was a very big if for a small minority & shouting out the wrong number isn't helpful).
It was great to see the mystery Fairfield non competitor out running again with the second main bunch, not racing and being snarky to the confused marshals, we didn't get his photo ;)
