You can you tube how to take your crankset off. It really is that simple. Honest it is.
The main problems with bikes are when people try and improvise with the incorrect tools( ie a chisel).

I think with Shimano you have to use the plastic tool to take that plastic cap off the crank arms then an allen key for the cranks then take the non drive side arm off. It will be stiff , just tap it with a mallet. Then it all comes out. Now just use the cup tool to remove the cups.
Clean out, re grease and put back together.
But you def need a torque wrench really.
Your going to see bike shops get more expensive in years to come. I can see a time when there will be set prices everywhere like at Evans,Halfords etc etc. And it wont be cheap.
Best time to try it is winter.
That way your not needing the bike.
You really need to have your chain set up with a masterlink. Sram, KMC etc which makes lift simple.
Start collecting your tools and they will last a lifetime.
Ive lost count of the number of bikies who say tools are expensive yet pay £5000 for a bike and wont fork out £30 for a set of cable cutters or pliers.
