Totally different courses. The Coniston Country Fair race goes from Coniston Hall to the summit of the Old Man and back. This one is an anticlockwise circuit of Mouldry Bank, Wetherlam, Swirl Howe and the Old Man.Quote:

Great race - good cakes at the start - long clib up Wetherlam and then rocky ridge to Swirl How and then runnable ridge to old man - downhill options are - follow a local - take a direct line and look out for some 10 ft drops - or chicken out and take the tourist track down.
The general idea is to take the fastest line to the bridge about 1k from the finish. Never managed a good line yet!
