No change for me
no change for me either
knee prob seems to be clearing up, so hoping to ramp the mileage back up soon, which should help shift a bit of lard...
76.6 for me. Need to start measuring body fat to really see if any changes are going on.
Got weighed tonite, lost another four pounds so now I'm down to 96.2 kilos. Small steps, right direction..!
Not particularly, a couple of stone will do for starters. I just want to lose enough to make running up hills a bit easier (along with a bit of training, obviously!) and get fit enough to have a crack at a few lakeland races with a realistic chance of not being timed out and also enjoying them a bit.
Plodding Bear
I will put you down for 10Kg.
Ok, in it for the long haul, then!
I was 90 Kg when I started running 4 years ago. I got down to 80 and then just got stuck on that weight for a couple of years. I set a 10 Kg drop target 6 months ago and achieved 5 but lost the plot again. This thread has given me the drive to try to get rid of the other 5 kg to get to 70Kg (11 st). Straight after my 10 mile (OKish) run along the canal tonight I actually weighted in at 70.5Kg. The wife and I are off to Snowdonia tomorrow for a couple of days hill walking. There will be lots of excercise but hopefully lots of food and beer as well so not sure how the calorie input/usage will pan out!
Aye, thinking about it 10kg is only 22lb so it isn't that much really. We'll see where we go once I'm down two stone, or 28lb, which is about 13kg I think?
Stuck on 80.5 KG. Need to start running again.
lost one measly kilogram
-2KG to 65. Not sure how much of that is through illness though!
I am having a lot of fun with FITDAY - free online weight loss & diet journal. You can spend time you might have spent eating fiddling around on it, and once you have told it what you ate (this is the fiddliest part) it gives brilliant feedback showing how good your diet is in all aspects - vitamins, minerals, fat, carbs etc etc. I thought I knew a lot, but I got some surprises. Nice pie charts, weight loss graphs and much more!
updated those last few postings. I am gone up a Kg. Four days at my mother-in-laws is not good, she has too much sweet food in the house and no hills.
All I seem to be doing nowadays is eating cake! Loads of running still but thats being countered by loads of cake and I've reached some sort of running to cake equilibrium with my weight not shifting at all. I even had fish and chips last Friday night and egg and chips (and cake), albeit after a run, on Saturday.
I guess I have no choice but to try and up my running then ;)
Is it too late to join in?
If not, then:
Start: 72kg
Current: 70kg
Target: 65.5
...I was just going to chuck myself in the table, but it seems all table responsibilities lie with DrP?

Thanks Alexandra, it's a painstakingly slow business shaving off these kilos. Being rather diminutive of height and liking real ales and constantly ravenous does not make it easy!!
'Fitday' looks interesting and similar to something i have been using called 'My Fitness Pal'
Stolly - the 'running to cake equilibrium' bit made me laugh a lot. I think I have reached a 'running to ale and cake equilibrium' too:w00t:
Sat in the garage on my turbo trainer, calf still duff, but gone down 0.5kg to 76.5kg
Thread seems to be getting a bit haywire and out of control. Can people please post updates on designated weigh in days. A day either side is fine if needs be. Next weigh in is a week today.
Ta
I've been a naughty bear and put a pound on! I know why though, so hopefully I'll shed that cheeky one and more by this time next week. I've been having trouble posting because our internet at home is not working at the moment, so I can only use the one at work when I can get to it.
My shift work makes it a bit difficult as I don't always have time for food at proper meal times so it's very tempting to snack in between. There's only so much fruit you can eat, and it just isn't as filling as a ginster's pasty!
Don't forget weigh in tomorrow for all those that are participating.
I'd like to join if I may. Been off the road since Sep with an old injury. My weight has stayed much the same, but what was muscle on my right glute and quad has wasted away and migrated to a beer belly, so I need to convert it back.
Start weight, 73kg. Target weight 71.5kg.
I appear to be putting weight on this week.
Personally. I blame it on Creme Eggs being in season.
...oh and I don't like doing this in KG...feels weird
Well, a grand total of 400g lost for me. Down to 89.5kg.
I actually put on a at least 1 kg since last week, but the shame of posting on a public forum forced me to sneak in an extra run (and an extra bit of no cake).
I changed jobs recently. Previously I'd always weighed myself dressed at work on a set of industrial scales. Now it's naked, at home :o
New weight is 77.3kg :closed: I'll change my target to 75kg
Went out last night and done a flat 16 miles at 8:40 pace on the Middlewood Way (converted railway line) longest run since The Trigger. It took 2:18 and according to the phone just under 2000 Kcal. After that exertion my weight was a tad under 81 Kg this morning, not sure how "real" that is. I will check again tomorrow morning to see what I am at after a more normal day.
76.3 for me. Could you also amend my name.
Thanks the artist formally known as Eavesy187
66kg for me :)
2lbs off, down to 13'0 = 83kg approx
have started to ramp up mileage - not rocket science
175lb 79.5kg No change.
I need to start framing a bit now.:o
No change here - I've still got too higher ratio of cake in to running out I think :)
And anyone else now having rather scary visions of DT at home naked and weighing himself :D
72.5 for me. Slowly, slowly, catchee monkey.
