A bit older than that! by Andy Holden, on Flickr
Another great Photo Andy, wish my hair flowed like that instead of looking a frizz bomb, must ask Mike his secret!!
Interestingly (for me that is!) at the Ben race last year my number was 38 and I was indeed 38, rolled up this year to be handed 39 and I am indeed 39!! Wonder if I rack up next year and get the big 40??
2013 Results.
Cracking conditions on the tops.

First time for me doing this race. Had a great time even though I got lost going up and down. Sorry for delaying the start with my fob issue. Looking around at the competition I was without question Burger King Of The Mountains at the finish. Result!

Has anyone got results for this year's race. Don't seem to have been published as yet by CFR.
Have you tried looking on the website?
On the car site now
Anybody else in for this for 2015? Really looking forward to it, in that strange "I know it's gonna hurt but I'll love the burn" kind of way...
Just posted my pre-entry form/cheque. Hopefully my recent cold will have disappeared before the weekend.

I'll be there. It's years since I did this one. Really looking forward to it.
I see the date for postal entries has closed, is there entries on the day?
Also I see the route is the same as the 2001 FMD route, just wondered why they still use this, would've thought the route would be just straight up 'n down the fastest way possible.
On the www.cfra.co.uk website, click on the "more info" tab on the Race Calender Scaffell Pike info, it says pre-entry by 5th September
They normally allow entry's on the day - email Richard and check
Some great flapjack and orange juice at the finish last time I ran this little beauty.
Thanks to all concerned for today, so many good factors to the race, in my opinion. Weather was immaculate, flagging to & from the camp site spot on, organisation perfect, orange juice & flapjack very warmly received post race and huge thanks to those hardy souls at the Pike summit collecting our little number tags.
Really enjoyed it & it's already pencilled in for me for 2016
All that waffle from me about doing this race, sadly due to a family crisis on Friday night I never made the trip up to the Lakes for this, gutted.
Hope everyone had a good race and a grand day out.
Sorry to hear that Fozzy42. Yes, it was a grand day out. One for 2016 for you?
How good was that weather today?! Even had a clear view from the summit, although I stupidly didn't take time to look around.
Thanks to all involved, a "proper" fell race of the short variety, really enjoyed it.
I've just been eyeing this up and wondered how much local knowledge is required for this? The nearest race I've done is Blencathra last year (which I finished well to the back), but the top looks like it'd be a trickier proposition if the murk descends.
Cheers
Give it a go Pin.
From NT camp out towards Wasdale Inn over a foot bridge and back towards foot of lingmell.
Once you pass the last wall you either go straight up or follow the path.
Over the style and as it levels keep to the right hand trod.
Follow this until it crosses a stream and rises to the main tourist path.
2 options now, cut the corner by going through the rocks (on a good day) or follow the main path in the clag.
Return via same route.
Great race, you will be glad you did it but your quad's will hate you for a few days.
Wish I was fit now.
One of my fav races.
Agree with Stagger. Give it a go mate. This'll be my 3rd year racing it, top race!
