Actually it doesn't hurt that much, the flat bit over the bogs on Lingmell breaks it up. Coming down Lingmell is the only place it might hurt. If you want one that hurts try Kirk Fell from Wasdale Shepherd's Meet on 10th Oct, far worse.

I'll be there. It's years since I did this one. Really looking forward to it.

lingmell is no walk in the park, but Kirkfell is absolutely horrific...

I see the date for postal entries has closed, is there entries on the day?
Also I see the route is the same as the 2001 FMD route, just wondered why they still use this, would've thought the route would be just straight up 'n down the fastest way possible.

Something to do with crossing certain land is the reason for the route. Done this way for 3 or 4 years now.
EOD was down as a tenner where as postal was only six.
Check with RO for on the day but usually everyone gets a run,

Where have you seen that Fozzy? Pre-entry is £7, a first class stamp should get your entry to the organiser by Friday if you post first thing on Thursday morning.

On the www.cfra.co.uk website, click on the "more info" tab on the Race Calender Scaffell Pike info, it says pre-entry by 5th September
