YES CALDER VALLEY...........where were Wharfedale
Nope, the two CV lads who were with me last Wednesday also bottled it and followed John.
They were over the moon with their Gold Medals:)
I'll be there next year Peejay and it will shave minutes off my time:)
Might be under 50 mins
Another great race Sir. Congrats to yourself and your helpers.
Thanks to Mr & Mrs Woodhead on a fine Yorkshire champs race.
Cheers Stagger.
I have a rather expensive looking childs lime green coat, 'Quechua' make which was left in the field. If anyone knows who owns it I would be glad to arrange its return.
Can I have my 6 year old back after you trounced him last wednesday on your G Whernside via stainforth recce?
PS sheep follow sheep
Well that was even better than I remember from last year. 32mins up:o, 12mins down:D.
Love this run. Back for more next year!
Well done CV lads.
Stagger,
Great to see you out mate.
What do I think Graham? I think that if the owner of the land does it the same route as everyone else then thats good enough for me.
I was very impressed with his tractor handling skills yesterday though, considering that he arrived at the race on it towing a 40 foot trailer behind. I thought it was the Wharfedale 'arriers team bus at first!
What happened in 2006? Looking at the past results the times for 2006 seem to reflect a much shorter course?
When I did this race last year, for the first time, it immediately became one of my favourites. After yesterday it's now definitely the BEST race in the calendar, that I've done. Many thanks to the organisers and marshals, well done!
I think the year before it was the championship race the course was shortened as it was snowy and icy. i think we turned at hag dyke. but as i was there we could just say no we were all really fit back then!
what was the weather like yesterday. it was pretty rainy where i was further north -
and well done wharfedale ladies!
JBP is correct. Due to weather in 2006 I made the decision to shorten the course to the cairn above Hag Dyke. As it happened by the time the race got underway conditions were quite good but thats sods law it was too late to change the route....and 2007 it was a counter in the English and British Championships.
Yesterdays results have gone to Brett for FRA website.
Anyone seen the results or pics yet?
First time ive ever done this and really enjoyed i. First race since Darwen after a long lay off. Im pathetically unfit. :(
My first time at this race - it was fab! I'll definitely be wanting to do it again, another one for the list of races which me and Mr Jules take in turns for the child care!
Thanks to the organisers and marshals.
