It's hardly concise is it WH?
To be absolutely bang on, it's ridiculous if results aren't available on line for such an event by now.
http://www.cumbriacommonwealthchampionships.org/
There's a website - why not use it?

Re: England Mountain Running T
Agree, pretty poor on the results feedback.
WH, The Dude was 4th Welsh runner & 26th overall. John Parrs of Buckley was 3rd in the 24 hour race with 152 miles  . Gobsmacking.

Re: England Mountain Running T
Taken from the Commonwealth Championship General Information Pack:
"Results
The results will be published according to IAU & WMRA directives."
Can't find what they are! But presumably allow time for protests and the jury to meet.
However, I am working on a system to link a chip carried on a shoe directly to a web site just to keep you guys happy. :D
They haven't even managed to publish the up and down results yet.

Re: England Mountain Running T
and to think think we had the Darwen results up before most of the seniors would have got home:rolleyes:

Is not knowing results a life-threatening condition for people in front of PCs?

Re: England Mountain Running T
Interesting list of us from Stagger, you may note that only one person forms the local organising committee! I think there were a couple of appeals and the system of timing/results wasn't first choice, but we've got though a lot of formalities not normally associated with a fell run and the results have emerged. One more day of competition then some of us may get a well earned rest!

Do you wear modern fell shoes or clogs. We are trying to move with the times.

Ha, thanks Marrow, despite all the beaurocratic c**p, the teamwork on the ground was brilliant. Bit like 1988 World Trophy short course!
Can't thank all the volunteers enough for what we got together, Steve Harwood needs a medal for his patience and dedication, and some more work to cover the contracts he lost due to the time he gave to this.
The weather was a joint effort too between us and Borrowdale show, where I gather Pippa Jackson knocked a couple of minutes off last years time to finish 6th (?) overall.
