It's a start Fleeter. Pain free running, nice and slow, build it up, back in no time!
Steady 6 miles for me as it's a lovely rest day.
A drizzly & misty 5.5 miler up Hameldon, quite refreshing.
7.25 mile last night in light drizzle a nice evening for a run. Calf felt okay after a couple of days rest.
5 miles this morning. Off to X keys this afternoon. (I only go for the chips)
had a cycle up to the x keys to watch the relays, theres nothing better than watching people struggle up running hill lane :p
15 miles on road. Got to start ramping up the marathon miles now....:(
10 miles on Blackpool Beach. Blimey the sea comes in quick there !!
14 miles today on the roads around Cronton, Bold Heath and Rainhill in constant drizzle. Great weather for running.
Three hours around the Goyt Valley from Kettleshulme. Pity it was raining! The bratwurst and pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord at the Swan Beer Festival went down well afterwards though.:)
4 mile speed training up black crag behind the Drunken Duck. I need to pick my race pace up and this is how i intend to do it.
hurting till I bleed is my new speed training motto. ouch.
4 miles fast yesterday on roads. Beat previous best beaten by 6 mins with 26 mins flat. Previous best was some while ago though.
Today, Leeds to Harrogate on footpaths and bridleways.
Back to 5.30am runs from today. And it is cold at that time of day.
For the past two weeks on my hols, I ran every day generally doing a nice 3.5 mile trot with a 5 or 8 miler (and one 10 miler) every other day. The 10 miler did include a small mountain too, all up an over grown goat track over boulders but luckily no snakes encountered.
During the day though I did shed loads of swimming in the sea, maybe 3 miles each day, and I was suprised that this swimming did make my calves ache for a few days. I feel pretty darn fit now I must admit, despite the added beer that a holiday necessarily entails. I guess the swimming + running regime has worked wonders ;)
1 Hour 10 Min Run Round Dovestones In The Lovely Sunshine
12 miles/2,100' over Hameldon, Clowbridge res, Loveclough and back to Accy over the moors. Sunny and clear and never saw a soul apart from at the road crossings. Fresh as a daisy now which I take as a good sign......
:) All my running was done before my wife even staggered out of bed. As for the swimming, well I'm a sea person  that takes occasional 'dips' on the beach rather than a beach person occasionally dipping in the sea. To be fair the place we go to (Stoupa in the south of the Pelleponese in Greece) has two fantastic beaches seperated by a headland with loads of opportunities for swimming out, snorkelling, swimming to caves, rock jumps and what not. Sunbathing is for whimps ;)
a little hobble at the services on the M6:(
5 mile this morning, 10 mile tonight.
6.5 miles 850ft of climb on the roads, felt suprisingly good considering I did Grisedale on Saturday.
Its a funny ole game is'nt it
 little run this eve. Now time for some brain exercise STUDYING again  but the end is in sight :D
An easy 5 miler tonight following my 14 mile yesterday.

i have serious work to do before i try a race again

You might have trouble,i'm a fat bastard at the moment!! :p
I think i've still got my tropical disease in me as i really felt bad while running today, few more days off wont do much harm i dont think
A sunny 66 on the bike today up to Blind Becks at Horton In Ribblesdale - great little cafe in Heather's front room - cheap as chips.
Hot 6 miles at lunch time :D
Wonderful around Hayfield today. Started by calling on Luv Shack at the Luv Shack to wish him Happy Birthday. Then up to Kinder Low End, down Broad Clough and up William Clough. The heather looked beautiful and the water cascading down William Clough was impressive. Over Burnt Hill on lovely bouncy peat down to Chunal and then back to Hayfield via the Shooting Cabin. Soup & sandwich for £4.95 in the garden at the Sportsman completed a lovely morning.
2.5 mile warmup
25 x 400m pacing session
2.5 mile cool down
pure hell
Cilcain hill race bank holiday monday, short run midweek 4 miles,
Ben Nevis race Saturday and Multi-terrain race tonight.
After a few days off due to alcaholic South African visitors - 45 minutes flat and fast off road. Not wanting to over do it before the Isle Of Wight so going for quality rather than quantity.
69 mins at least 11 mile
