Morning :) Best get kettle on....
That was a good game!
Does anybody know what cement replacements are.
Course. Replacements for cement, like fork handles are... handles for forks. Everyone knows that don't they?
. Introduction/Background (Briefly explain what cement replacements are, and discuss why they are used in the construction industry, how do cement replacements affect porosity and then the use of cement?) Previous studies on cement replacements.
Its 100 marks for this write up. How the hell can they expect us to do a write up when we haven’t been taught anything what so ever. We literally followed instructions for the experiment and then got told we've gota do a write it.
How long have you got before the deadline?
Al , type in pulverised ash mate
Its used a lot in the constrution industry as cement replacement
Sources like drax power station .
Tarmac Topblock use it .
Its used to try and cut down on mineral extraction that is needed to produce cement.

this is why they use replacements
Cheers bud.
So basically its a more environmentally friendly alternative to using cement.
Can only see one book in the library catalogue when searching for cement replacements. Too short notice for you to borrow it! (Tuesday:eek:) If this sounds like it's on the right lines I'll get it out in the morning and you can phone me (07985204074). I'm assuming you've Googled it already?

Seems like Daz has solved your problem for you! :)
Ive not googled that specific book no. I'll go to my uni's library again 2mz and type that book into the computer systems. Tuesday i know, i kept putting it off. Ive spoken to alot of fellow classmates who have already done this experiment and everyone of the struggled. I think i have a bit of an idea what to write about now.
Yeah it spells it out abit. Pilgrim, how to you go about referencing and plagiarism. If i put quotes from daz's website, do i reference it at the end or also quote it after the quote.
I was just assuming you've Googled the term 'cement replacements' as a starting point.
There's loads of stuff written about referencing & plagarism - lectures on it too! Far too much detail for here! just google the word 'referencing'. Check with your lecturer - he/she will probably be happy with a simple numbered reference system. [i.e. number in the text identifying each bit of referenced work then list at the back with the references.]
Remember, if you're quoting something verbatim then put quotation marks around it.
Oh, i thought you meant for the book. Yes i did google 'cement replacements', all i seemed to get was these companies who have something to do with concrete and mention the words 'cement replacements' - I guess thats how google brought it up.
I'll see how i go on and ill let you know. Cheers guys.
Cheers.
Well as my bus gets me into uni each day and hour early before my lectures start, im guna use that time 2mz to search the uni libraries data base.
Ive written about a page so far, using the technique called 'blagging'.
I got my mum and dad to read it and they said it makes sense and seems to be answering the question.
If i get stuck, i'll PM you....hopefully i should find what i need.
Thanks alot anyway.:)
