He was cycling down honister pass giving it hell for leather and something went wrong with his handle bars...something about them coming off or snapping.

Was he riding a carbon bike?
No idea, all i know is what i wrote above. Apparently he rides like he used to run on the fells.....so god knows what speed he was doing when he crashed.
I don't really know much about him tbh... but I reckon you can pick up a fair speed off Honister... must vring the bike up one day when I go to the Lakes and give it a try
