I think I am going to be marshaling the start of the descent off Ingleborough, so say hello and make sure you go the right way down :D
I'll be there in mi new shiny SportSunday fluorescent jacket trying to capture some of you in 'action'. Planning on being somewhere up Pen-Y-Ghent and then Sulber Nick working my way back to the finish.
Don't forget to gurn and enjoy the trail run :)
Thanks for the info peeps
IDP - good tip that, although i won't be using gels, from training it seems that Twix is going to be the weapon of choice, should still be able to use the tip though.
Fishy -why send a can, there's a flamin pub full of the stuff! in fact you've given me an idea, is stopping for scampi & chips & a pint of Black Sheep allowed :D.
Stagger - Bugger off!:D (you can have my number if you want!)
Will be very dry underfoot, just been out on the hills close by and it's not far off as dry as I have seen - good conditions for Wave Harriers or similar.
Cheers for that Ady - good job about the conditions, it was Wave Harriers anyway! I'll watch out for the jacket
I thought I would be dithering between my new Nike Red rocks or my flyrocs, but i am now stuck between the red rocks and my NB road trainers given the dryness & its going to be warm.
Anything happening after race this year any decent bands? or are the Wharfee lads taking on Bingley again at drinking and dancing??
Not long to go have a good race everybody see you all after for a pint or 7
2 pubs in Horton, can't remember the names, though.
OP on draft
Jebby has pulled out....not read thread so it may have already been mentioned....Manhar for the win..cmon dont let calder down
OP is a session beer, but that's why I don't remember the names of the pubs.
Hi Anti,
I did a clockwise run round the pyg fell race route this morning in asic road shoes. Conditions bone dry and I was quite happy to stretch out at pace coming down thru grassy fields at foot of rocky ascent. Obviously your own choice but if weather stays as-is, I'd elect for the extra cushioning road-shoes give...
Have fun! :)

Wonder if you could actually get odds on this at the bookies???????
But who for vet 40
Best of luck to everyone running especially my Abbey runners and Calder Valley mates. Weather forecast is good so I will enjoy the day marshaling on Ingleborough.
If you require jelly babies, a drink or perhaps a rub down with some goose grease just ask :D
