I had a rather splendid evening in Horton last summer involving a couple of pints in each pub, food in the Crown, bivvying on PYG then walking back to Skipton the next day via a cafe in Malham for breakfast and the cafe in Gargrave for an ice-cream

I thought I would be dithering between my new Nike Red rocks or my flyrocs, but i am now stuck between the red rocks and my NB road trainers given the dryness & its going to be warm.

I did a clockwise run round the pyg fell race route this morning in asic road shoes. Conditions bone dry and I was quite happy to stretch out at pace coming down thru grassy fields at foot of rocky ascent. Obviously your own choice but if weather stays as-is, I'd elect for the extra cushioning road-shoes give...
