Summit times are up now.
I was 204th at the top!:)
(317th at finish!:o )
looks like some more photos will appear here soon, and thanks go to Pinno for his.
This man got fastes downhill time!

Holmesy was 23.01, Bailey a few seconds behind him. I would have put money on Ian being the fastest downhill.
Hi Roadrunner
We are having a good laugh in work at the results, :D we work with John Farrell. He is a good runner but had a problem with the chip. I think he got to the summit in about an hour and down in about 33 mins.
I managed 1 hr 50 mins this year, need to work on my ascent but otherwise happy enough.
Yes, something wrong with that descent time. John Thompson of Skelmersdale Boundary Harriers passed John Farrell on the way down having been behind him on the way up.
Like Sinatra & Brandon said we work with John Farrell and its a bit of a mystery how his time has gone wrong. He did only just make the start because of traffic problems. John is a good runner and his summit time should be about 58/59 mins. He passed me at 1:01 having just come off the railway track. Think his descent should be about 34 mins. Still a good time though. Pity he is away on holiday to have a chuckle at this.
What no DVD? Are we not having a DVD of the race for sale this year then? I think a lot of people look forward to this. If this is the case it will be a real shame.
Doesnt look like it, have spoken to film company, their new producer is not prepared do it. Not enough of you runners have purchased previous race dvd's to make it a viable proposition.
Any how watch this space.
There are loads of previous race dvd's in stock, probably at reduced prices
'King of the Mountains' and I have the worst case of DOMS ever.
So it's not just me that can't walk today. How some people have managed to run since Saturday I have no idea. Last year it was my quads that suffered and this year my calves cramped when i tripped five minutes into the descent! At least I got to check out the view while I stretched!
I know the feeling Jimbob I had the same experience at work last year after Snowdon. Must admit other than my ankle I feel far better than I did after last years race, mind you I have done far more fell running this year and that has helped a lot. I have also just been for my first run since Saturday an easy 5 miler and feel okay.
Today is far worse for me as well. I knew last night that 90 min sunday run off road was asking too much of the legs. Last they decided to give me hell in the form of pain everytime I moved or the girlfriend bang in to them in bed.
So, today I decided to do a 20 min flat run and a 85 min bike ride. Not much ground covered on the bike as I was taking it steady and looking for new paths I haven't run on in the area.
For God's Sake!!!!! No one took my picture and now there isn't a DVD. I'am gonna get an agent and then sack him.:(
Highlights it is then.
Did you have a special route Swoop? I saw you going cross country on the descent.
DVD availability- We could do with someone recording it from SKY to a DVD recorder tonight? At least someone will have a DVD available of it in the likely hood SC4 will not be selling a Race DVD? Perhaps someone has already done that?
On the way down I saw a nice grassy descent near the railway line, on the left of the fence, so I followed some walkers across it. It was a bit boggy in places but felt very nice after the hard path. I was lucky that there was a gap in the fence for me to rejoin lower down. I wouldn't advise it for anyone who can descend ok on the path but for a crap descender like me it helped to break the descent up a bit.:)
Just found you in the results Brand(on).
You were 7 minutes behind me at the summit and 2 minutes ahead at the finish!:o
why wasnt andi jones or ian holmes picked for the england team ? selectors made big cock up on this one . where was lloyd taggart ?
yes you take a good photo fellrunner was actually after photo of simon bailey from our club but like a fool was trying out a new lens for first time!
after i'd messed up first half dozen went back to older lens ! anyway you look good first time i'd photographed a fell race normally do road but will be back for this one had a really good day really enjoyed and will do a few more feel races almost made me want to start running again if only i had time!
I believe the selection was made following the Fairfield Race. The England team selector did contact me to let me know I could have a place on the team along with the first three men from Fairfield. As I couldn't commit to the Snowdon Race nine weeks before the event I had to tell him that I couldn't run on the England team. I had entered myself anyway as I know numbers for this race soon go. Can't comment on the fact if Ian Holmes was asked at anytime. What does seem to be a mismatch in the selection process, is between women and mens team selection but this is nothing to do with me so maybe I shouldn't comment.
Not running on the England team cost me and Ian. I won the race and won a picture (all be it a damaged frame picture) If I was n the England team I would have won £200 as well as the international runners have a different prize structure as well. Doesn't make much sense to me that a runner finishing third gets dosh, a rather lot of dosh, and second and first place runners who were wel ahead of the first international runners get no dosh!!!!! But hey, used to silly thing in the running world. Off to decide where to hang my damaged picture!!!!!!!
well done for winning . and explaining some of the selection processes . as for the womens team christine howard was missing , but i suppose i could go on and on on this one . i had an awesome midplace finish .
Its a crazy sporting world when a third placed person gets more than the winner. A (picture as against £200) Yes, I have to agree the selectors made a big mistake in not selecting Andi and Ian for this one.
What happened to Tim Davies for this race?
No need to wait for 22.32. The highlights are available now on the web. "Watch Now"

Tim Davies ran the Great Welsh Run in Cardiff on Sunday.
Alun Vaughan had an injury a couple of weeks before the race & decided to drop out of the team. Like Roadrunner he had an individual entry & decided to run.
