Final comment:
I've been sifting through my memories of the event and now I remember wherer Longdogs was. I did take a jelly baby - thanks ever so much.
I think this is another feature of our fantastic sport - a small and often overlooked feature, but very significant and indicative of the sport as a whole - that people will stand for ages in out of the way places in inclement conditions to offer encouragement like this to fellow runners.
Actually, i think i said hurry up cos i need a pee... :) I just went out cos loads of my mates were running, i live near there and i had the day off. It was great fun, seriously. I was going to go to Gran Canaria for the weekend but couldn't afford it!Quote:
