:D
Deejay if the distance or climb doesn't get you, the weather might just come along and bite your bum. I know its supposed to rain this week, maybe the first rain in almost 3 weeks, but the weather forecast for next weekend in the Lakes is looking to be warm and sunny - see the next 5 days weather for Coniston (the nearest I could get to Duddon). I can see the last 10 miles of this race being a waterless, sun burnt, heat exhaust-athon.
But it'll still be fun..............
Yeh, that's a concern. I'm reasonably sure legs will last out, they were fine at the end of the Anniversary Waltz and I've done a lot of miles in the hills in my short:D life. I guess I'm just not sure what the rest of the body will need to keep running for the last half dozen miles. Still if I do it it'll be a massive pshy, pysco, err, morale boost! On the other hand if I suffer the shame  of dropping out, well, there's always BEER:D
Think I'll decide at about 10.59 on Saturday!!! And you're right, whatever happens it will be fun:eek:
My plan is as follows,
Sunday
Stowaway in your car and jump ship at Darlington
That just about covers everything, you did ask:D
Not quite everything, the race is on Saturday,,,,yes,,,,, you are planning an overnight stay, well this is were there is a slight not major (well not for me) flaw in the plan,,,,,,,,, I am travelling back home on the Saturday ,early evening after some sustinence and general banter with the stable and others.
The ball is in your court now, no expletives in your reply if you don't mind. When things dont go to plan , i usually turn to DRINK
I see some of our four legged name-sakes are on Route 1 in this months Trail magazine!
Might meet these original members next week on High Street during a weeks holiday in Keswick.
First time i ever saw the real thing was on High Street Dan, was a very spooky sight coming out of the mist
Starting to toy with the idea of breaking my habit and staying over after the race (Duddon that is) as am doing a long day out on the Sunday...where you all staying?
See you lot up there, I'm going for a trot round, and I think I'll camp at Turner Farm. Can't be as bad as camping at Helvellyn, the wind broke one of my poles
Totally unconnected, there's a pub nearby isn't there? :)
Website says there's a pub, anyone fancy jogging the race route again on the sunday?
I'm not saying that Crumblydown fawns on every word of the Master but here's a picture of them both yesterday :D:

Any news of the pink vests?
Tomorrow is the birthday of my daughter, The TussockMaiden, and I'd like to be able to give her an e.t.a.
I know a probable date isn't much of a gift, but it would be in lieu of an actual garment - although it's true I wouldn't advise her to run clad only in an estimated time of arrival.
Not with the weather we've been having.
we just have to wait for amex to appear :D
