10 Mile race, Stockport 10, very hilly in parts, 69 Mins, not bad for me at this time of the year
Only time for a short 3.5 mile XC run this morning before getting ready for Harry's Christening
Ran round the 2007 Kinder Trial course. Very enjoyable and even managed to see the Rocky Knoll clearly!
7.8 miles big hill to start, over norland moor in a circle, big descent to finish, cracking day. Only one problem, rottweiler 2 inches from my leg, growling and looking hungry, owner shouting don't worry he won't bite. She made me feel a lot better!
am-30 mins road
pm-30 mins road
found some motivation again :D
5.5 mile road inc 2 mile warm up then unrelenting hill intervals out of the Ewden valley. I never want to see another lampost...
A short late run 4.7 mile along the roads from Cronton to Farnworth and back very frosty tonight.
30 mins in the pitch black on snowy roads with a temp of -12 and no hat!! Don't know why I forgot the hat but I won't be making that mistake again.
8.5 mile hilly trail run, beautifiul day, cold, clear and crisp, why can't all days be like this...
No run.
Kirkstone -Red Screes - Dove Crag - Hart Crag - Fairfield - Great Rigg - Heron Pike - Nab Scar - Rydal - across to Low Pike - High Pike - Red Screes and Kirkstone - about 14m and 6000' ish, felljogging/photographing/eating rock hard frozen chocolate in about 5 hours.
SUPERB day, freezing cold and clag coming and going made it very atmospheric. Great views across the icy top of Fairfield to all parts.
Ran most of the ups, slowly, and took care on the icy decents (which seemed to take longer than the climbs!).
If anyone else was out amongst the fells today, I hope you had as good a day as I did - a real 'glad to be alive' job!
Some photos from my phone!
ST
pendle, 30 minutes trying to keep up with lucy!
no pain :D, nice frosty weather as well great to jump in small icy puddles and listen to the ice cracking under your feet, a deligth to be out and about..
back to work tomorrow put me feet up and have a rest, wouldn't want to over do it:rolleyes:
6 mile XC and on Trails tonight in the dark without a light and quite tricky at times. Thankfully had a clear frosty night and the glow of the Moon to guide me. Very muddy in places.
8.5 Mile on the Canal Towpath around Hyde and Dukinfeld
8.5 miler (ish) last night, all on road and for the most part at full on ramming speed. For once I felt super fit and could have probably run through the odd brick wall without losing stride. Didn't even feel knackered at the end...... now if only I could bottle this for use in fell races.
Dragged my troublesome calf up Hameldon again today and it seems to be easing, no limping or whimpering so I feel optimistic once more. Bike tomorrow and then a trot up Pendle on Friday all being well.
Lovely 5 mile road run Cracking night for running. Not freezing, but just cold enough to keep the nutty kids off the streets!!!! Thank god for Xboxes to kept the yobs entertained!!!!
A good 11 miles on the roads tonight in quite chilly conditions but great for running.
65 mins at the gym - bike/cross-trainer/weights (mostly leg) and stretches. Hopefully ready for a run again by weekend.
38 mins same route as yesterday, lucy(dog) decided to give me some sprint training half way through.. by running off after another dog!! can't wait till she is out of season!
nice run though. no pain pleased, still keeping it steady. :D
4.5 mile fell race to celebrate Andy H's coming of age, 60 years to day. Happy Birthday Andy
8.00 pm start, no paths allowed, great run with lots deep heather and tough climbs and real navigation.
Back to Strines pub afterwards where Andy showed what great lungs he's got by blowing all 60 candles out in one go.
7miles last night. First run since Rotherham and surprized how good I felt. Slept better too and probably have a steady run out at the Stoop on Sunday now
Early morning 9 miles cross country returning via TPT. Another beautiful morning. Rest day tommorrow.
