Depends where it is, mr brightside, bothy is Scottish. The Vikings up north would call it a hytte (still do in Norway) or hut in modern English. It's where the shepherds would stay in summer with the sheep on the upland pastures (setts or seter), before bringing them into the intake fields for the winter. Transhumance is the technical term, I think.Quote:
