Early finish at work today as students finished for Xmas Hols. So managed 5 miles XC and on the trail paths around Pex Hiil this aft. Very hard and frosty in places and also crisp underfoot higher up the hill.

4 miles to work, 1 mile home, cadged a lift off a workmate the first 3 miles, knackered after a hard shift. Finish at 12 on friday straight on the lash.
11.5 miles on the canal around Dukinfield at lunchtime
61 on the bike this morning, lovely back through the trough. Run in the hills tommoz then back to work for 2 nights.
7 mile 1200" over Windy hill. Watery sunshine on the Oldham side, thick fog on Huddersfield side, and a bloody cold breeze on both.
Enjoyed the peace and quite apart form running at side of M62 when I was smiling and thinking about all the people in the rat race and me pottering round the moor tops:)
7.17 miles around a very frozen Sutton Park at lunchtime. Beats crap road runs in the dark any day!
Set new course record as well.

15 min warm up, 45 min hard tempo, 15 min warm down last night.
Wrapped up and still never got hot when running.

7 miles in Heaton Park, its a winter wonderland in there today. Blood level still low despite drinking lots of red pop.

12 miles on final leg of MT loop, Top o Leech, Waugh's well, past the massive new turbines. Got a bit lost in fog and paths were like skating rinks. Still missing my pint of blood.
6.7 mile on the roads tonight. Finished with a bit of a tight calf.
4 miles on the road, first run after my cold felt terrible. fingers crossed for tommorrows longer run.

Still abit chesty but we did 14 miles 2000ft around the Upper derwent valley. A group of Denby Dale runners set off just in front of us.
Route went from Langsett to Skarrett Stone -1894 Stone- Hoar clough tea plant- trig Sheperds meeting stones-down towards Slippery stones but cut up past Lord Howard Ed Spring- icelandic aircraft wreck- outer edge Trig- OE tea plant- and back to Langsett
Stunning day, blue sky the odd wispy cloud in the valley. great company with a mix of dark peak and penistone runners- heaven

Down in Cornwall for Christmas. Did a 10 mile trail race (very muddy and pretty hilly). Chap called Tim Watson (Belgrave) won. I got 2nd (19secs down). Really enjoyable with warm mince pies and tea afterwards - bliss!

Yesterday I went for a 3 mile walk in my new orthotics.
Hopefully the first steps to fitness, and I'll be able to jog this time next week. :)
After a 3 week break due to a heavy cold and generally feeling like utter shite I ran for half an hour today. Felt ok but I need to get moving if I'm gonna make Box Hill come January.

Struggled on the hills and HR was sky high.
41 on the bike this morning - a little damp & dreary out there, not very Christams like.
4.5 mile blast on the roads this afternoon in heavy rain.
10 mile this morning at 7am. Not many people out and about.
