I'd rest it for a few days if I were you Multiterrainer, though I'm no specialist on the matter.

Still abit chesty but we did 14 miles 2000ft around the Upper derwent valley. A group of Denby Dale runners set off just in front of us.

Route went from Langsett to Skarrett Stone -1894 Stone- Hoar clough tea plant- trig Sheperds meeting stones-down towards Slippery stones but cut up past Lord Howard Ed Spring- icelandic aircraft wreck- outer edge Trig- OE tea plant- and back to Langsett

Stunning day, blue sky the odd wispy cloud in the valley. great company with a mix of dark peak and penistone runners- heaven

Sounds a lovely run that IanDP.

Down in Cornwall for Christmas. Did a 10 mile trail race (very muddy and pretty hilly). Chap called Tim Watson (Belgrave) won. I got 2nd (19secs down). Really enjoyable with warm mince pies and tea afterwards - bliss!

    Merry Christmas y'all

    Re: Today's Training

Yesterday I went for a 3 mile walk in my new orthotics.
Hopefully the first steps to fitness, and I'll be able to jog this time next week.

    Re: Today's Training

After a 3 week break due to a heavy cold and generally feeling like utter shite I ran for half an hour today. Felt ok but I need to get moving if I'm gonna make Box Hill come January.

Happy Xmas to one and all!!

    Re: Today's Training

Been feeling a bit off colour, so went for a steady 5 mile over the moors.
Struggled on the hills and HR was sky high.
