As before, 10 min warm up, 3x 3 min jog/2 min walk, 10 min walk home again, then loads of stretching and remedial leg exercises. Hell of a job trying to hold my pace back on the jogs.
A slight tenderness around my knee, but putting that down to just getting used to the running again. Got an ice bandage on again now.
20 mins hill climb on treadmill at a slower pace than 10 weeks ago..but felt good..building some lost leg strength back
then into gym for some all-over strength work
easy run tomorrow to start and build some fitness back
and before you know it....'I'll be back' said in the accent of the governor of california :D
there's no place called slippery stones up here...that im aware of..thus the new name reflects the area that i am living in now and pays homage (in a way) to the song at the end of (one of) my favorite films
so a starter for 10...whats the song and the film that its at the end of ? the clue is in the city i work
copy/keep hold of the book as i will need it again..cheers
My sixth 5k on the treadmill. My third week back and plodding on! Have knocked 3 min 15off my first time already! :)
Still oh so slow tho and walked for 2 minutes. It is hard work starting from scratch! :(
Everything feels ok though so will start upping the distance maybe in two more weeks. I think it will be a while before I dare venture back out into the great outdoors...besides the gym has a creche!
