Ran along the path under Dovvies dge to the Quarries last night, the car sized block has took out the fence just above the path....decent sized lump of rock that came off....the scar it left close to the path was some 2ft deep...the remnants of the rock stopped just short of the Ashway Gap over flow....Must of been impressive to witness

It was certainly impressive , & quite humbling to witness. When approaching Dovvies Edge from the Foxstone you may recall a narrow rock corridor to access the foot of the crag before the Hanging Crack & appears to be one side of this which crashed down the steep slope below. Wouldn't be too unusual in the quarries but can't be so common on the natural edges. Are you doing the Skyline race on Sunday? I am an utter novice at this game & just want to get round in one piece!
Know the area pretty well but wondering if I will be ritually humiliated by the process. Any tips ?

Judging by the large no of vets in this I guess a lot of us will be taking a trip down memory lane on Sunday.
This was my first proper fell race in 1983 & I still have the t shirt, a little tight now though. :p

Hi all. Just wondered if anyone new when the last skyline race was and if anyone had the results.

I think someone said it was last run around 10 years ago. I have nt come across any results, i think the record is around 1hour 45 though.

Im thinking of doing the race on Sunday, is there still plenty of snow up there and is it around the same area as Ravenstone race? Cheers :)
