this is true..however i stick by my request to see some of the evidence behind the claim...as an interested runner myself.
we must take into account the improvements in runner ability etc and not just think that putting on one pair of Inov8's will make you run faster/better/stronger than if you wore an alternative pair of (very similar weight) Inov8's
think of it this way (i know i do)...if the fascia band 'bit' does as is claimed....why isnt it included in all Inov8 shoes ? even in a shoe as light as the X-Talon ? and lets remember that the X-Talon was introduced after the 'invention' of the fascia band bit
if you had a slightly heavier shoe from inclusion of the fascia band BUT improved performance..surely you would go for the improved performance as this is far more long term beneficial (in terms of increased propulsion efficiency and reduce(ing) fatigue) than saving a few ounces.
but then the marketing blurb of 'world lightest XC/mountain racer' would no longer be relevent
the mind boggles and the discussion goes ever on
