So is that straight up the obvious ridge and back down again?

Are there any checkpoints other than the summit of Kirkfell?

Straight up and then straight down, followed by collapsing in a heap.

Yeah. A bit of a shame. It clashed last year too, but there was only one thing to do - go to Wasdale.:)

The descent can be done in 9 minutes. :) Or so I'm told.;)

I can't think of a race where you drop so fast so quickly. Some planes will drop altitude slower coming into land !

Been thinking about this.

FRA Relay leg two finishes about 1.00pm. Wasdale Head for 3.00 is a possibility.

Someone once arrived in a helicopter. Arncliffe in the Dales to Wasdale Head in about 15 minutes.

I'll go halves if you want to organise one.:)

I had no idea the prize money was so good, maybe I should do a bit more training.
