All the earliest articles are headlined "65ft" (see grough.co.uk); I'm convinced it started out reported as 20m before being 'rounded' from 65ft to 100ft, which converts back to 30m! They probably refer to vertical height in official reports?
Lakeland MR teams have had a busy weekend, ■ Scafell Pike late on Thursday Night, ■ Corridor Route for this, the ambulance seen heading past Derwentwater for an unrelated rescue on ■ King's How, Borrowdale, and then two on Sunday, a fall at ■ Scale force, Buttermere (Sea King airlift), and the air ambulance deployed to ■ Dunmail Raise for another 'horror fall'. There seems to be a good line of work/hobby in helicopter photography!
