Re: Overweight Confessions
I have lost about 1lb.
One poxy 1lb. :sneaky:
And even that changes throughout the day (although I have weighed myself in the mornings every time so should be fairly consistent).
Having said that, this mornings run was the best so far since I have started back again, and a week of no alcohol feels great :D (Only 3 more weeks til RETOX :o ).

Keep going OHW your going the right way.
I am not yet getting enough training in but have gone TT and Choc free for 8 days and 4lb's had gone this morning.
I appear to have a bit more to lose than you so the start will be easy and the fitness is the tough bit.
Wanted to race tomorrow but royal mail have not delivered and so I am now taking the lads to their football games, while Mrs S does 20m with Longdogs.

Quite proud of myself. I went to Skipton today and didn't have a pie from Farmhouse Fare or Stamfords. Last time I was there I had one from each :o

Re: Overweight Confessions
My willpower broke and despite promising not to eat the remaining chocolate in the house I couldn't resist :o
Still at least it's all gone now
Daredn't weigh myself. I'll weigh myself on Friday before I go off on me hols for the week

Re: Overweight Confessions
Popped into my local well known supermarket earlier to pick up a few items for soup making when I wandered past the in-store bakery and cake section and spotted my fave - egg custard tarts reduced from 59p to 45p for a pack of two - at that discount it would be rude not to....
I was rude and resisted the temptation - well impressed with my willpower:thumbup:

I think I might have to resign from this thread. It looks probable that I'm going to be living in a hotel for most of next week, and possibly a couple of weeks after that...

Interesting piece, but I've always wondered in everyone used to live in caves, where are these caves, bar the odd one ;)
Think I'm off to Dominoes for a large pizza, has to be done.

Judging by facebook comments from Hann & OHW it looks like I've started an aduki (or adzuki) beans trend - as a healthy mince replacement - yummy.

Just tell yourself the hotel is infested with cockroaches; you'll lose loads of weight...don't give up!!!
There's cakes in the kitchen (someone's birthday). This is a huge temptation; I've just eaten a banana, and have banished myself from the dangerous cake infested zone. :boohoo:

Re: Overweight Confessions
Survived the weekend. Finished it at the same weight as I started it, despite a huge Italian meal!

Ouch, Stef, these things are sent to try us! Good luck. Not sure I would have your strength, I have(had?) a theory that "free" food was calorie free, since it's not our fault we are eating it, but someone else's. May have to revise that though :closed:

I haven't weighed myself today, not wanting to get hung up over 1/2 a lb here and there, however I too survived, no alcohol, not too many treats. Possibly too much dinner though. And didn't run yesterday.

I braved the scales this morning; it seems that the early morning headtorcher with my youngest was sufficient to counteract a weekend of Mum's amazing as always cooking and a few chocolates. No lard gained, phew!
OHW you've been working on a misapprehension. I reckon free food is double calories as you didn't expend any getting it! This could be the root of your lard troubles
