Just contacted RO and EOD is still available.
Cake stops can be time consuming!
Tip: Take a plastic cup for drinks at water stops - lighter than carrying a loaded bottle.

will do ady i'll keep an eye out for a vest
I ran up the Beacon from Addingham last Sunday, then over to Round Hill, down the main descent on the Round Hill fell race and then back up the Beacon. It wasn't too wet. Have fun guys
Purple ! I'm still on the black and white one. I'll have a look for u mate . Didn't know there was a rocking stone I'll have a look is there a tale with it ?
I ran last Sunday in Amex Purple Fell Ponies vest. It was stunning up there with just the meadow pipits, curlews and a red kite for company. As you say Multi, it should be good going on Sunday
I'd wear my flu green one but it's a tad tight these days! Must have shrunk in the wash...............
I blame these modern wash powders.............
I imagine it was dropped on top of the other by the ice sheet. I read somewhere that it hasn't rocked for a century or so.

Rocking Hall. An early example of a shooting house, built in 1758 for the Bolton Abbey Estate. It is a substantial stone-built structure and features separate rooms for the shooters and beaters. It takes its name from a large ‘rocking stone’ situated between the two buildings. It lies next to an earlier 17th century farmhouse. It is still in use and has been visited by many distinguished guests, including King George V in 1911.
thanks for that brotherton lad i do like a bit of intrest or history on a route  see you all in the morning
Last minute route change, because of access issues....the race is being run clockwise this year.
Good luck everyone. Lovely conditions here today, blue skies with a bit of a breeze. You should have a great one
Certainly were excellent conditions today although the bogmonster was still very much present between Round Hill and Timble Ings.
Thanks to all at Nidderdale LDWA/Raynet etc for an excellent event.
Managed to just scrape inside 4hrs (garmin time 3.59.52!! (distance 23.42miles)), official time 3.59, some could say good pacing but to be honest the wheels came off a bit after about 18 miles so relieved to crack the 4hr mark in the end.
Good to run around much of the course with 'young' Old Un - thanks again for the half Mars Bar, and also to chat with Donkeyforth & his Horsforth Harriers gang, all of whom got away from me over the last few miles. Also good to meet Ady for the first time + Tussockface, Karen Nash and Socks briefly again.
*Re Tidemark's post above - looks like the whole field has been disqualified then - what Fools we are!!;)
Given the amount of training I've not done was pleased to get round intact. Bit of a downer after just 1/2 a mile in when my left calf tightened up so we walked pretty much all the section round the res to the road. Some drugs at the car park CP saw me through and allowed for quite a bit of slow running. My mate lost his sense of humour at the last CP so was a slow trundle back to the hall. Clocked 5 1/2 hours. Enjoyed the day out and happy to get some miles in my legs which should act as a springboard to do some training and get fit & thinner! Met quite a number of people (old & new) before the event - great atmosphere. If anyone from the LDWA happens to read this thread then thanks very much for putting on such a good event. Food stop before Beamsley Beacon wins hands down!
Stonking good ay out with blue sky and not too hot. Course is very runable with very few tough hills. I can think of a few lads who would fly round. Nice to meet you Multiterainer, I think you pushed a bit hard after Bolton Abbey. Cheers to the LDWA for letting us have so much fun!
Beautiful course, especially today with blue skies. Wasn't sure it'd get so warm when my car thermometer was showing zero degrees on the way over to Bland Hill.
I was happy to get round in under five hours as my legs were gradually grinding to a halt.
There was a special guest appearance by our Esteemed Chairman; two in fact, as he popped up at Deerstones and Timble, going in the opposite direction. Perhaps he'd read Tidemark's post?:D
Great day out- what fantastic weather. My feet are very battered from the dry ground tho. NIce to chat to the Fell Ponies, Shirley, Isaline, Ady, multterrainer etc. The wheels came off after Round Hill and I struggled to run on the road- wish I had known Isaline was only 2 mins in front, I'd have tried harder. Thanks to all at LDWA!
what a cracking day with great company and veiws it was good to meet multiterrainer and tussockface and ady among others and put faces to names. speaking of which was that you karen on our table at the end and who i came in with to the resivoir ? was struggling with a wheezy chest so happy to get 3.54. thanks for the company mt and your always welcome to mars bars
I ran the Blubberhouses 25 today. Absolutely loved it and thought it fantastically well organised. Lovely!
Finished just under 4 hours - delighted with that. Only the second time I've run over 20 miles so pleased with that (quite well prepared though, building up to doing 18-19 boggy/rocky Mickleden Straddle miles last two weekends). Like two of you guys, the wheels came off a little at about 18-20 (think I was running with you for a while!). Left ankle, left knee, right knee, left ear, right eyebrow etc. - it all started to ache. Witnessed your nadir Multiterrainer, so impressed with your comeback!
Building up for the Three Forts Marathon on the south coast in 5 weeks. Bring it on!
Hi Ady, think I might have chatted to you while coming down Ellarcarr Pike. It struck me you were dressed for speed yet were walking tentatively. Anyway if it was you, well done for not giving up! Our group from York took part in this for the first time and really enjoyed it - lots of lovely people, great weather, superb conditions, lovely grub - and all in for £7. Can't be bad!!!:D

Blimey, Ben Grant did well for a bloke about to start drawing his old age pension in a year or two.
Just posted entry for this year:thumbup:.
I'm already in. Have done it the last 2 years and really like it
