I'm confused. What happened to the regular bi weekly weigh in when we all put in a new figure? Worked well last year. This weighing here and there makes the thread a bit of a mess and a pain in the arse for DrBarry who has taken responsibility for the table. Weigh in should be a week on Wednesday.

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Is he referring to his weight-watchers weigh in?
And will ye stop the Dr stuff, my name is Pat. I think I will change my username to something like zog.

Ah if that's so it clears things up nicely. Ta

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Reminds me of a lass I once knew...
Yes, mine is an 'official' weigh in, it was at our Slimming World thing but we've shifted to a local gym-run thing now so it's on thursdays. Sorry if it's inconvenienced pat (the Doc!)

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Well I'm totally confused about when the weigh-ins are... And surely that should be "pat the dog", not "doc"?

Bi weekly on a Wednesday. The next weigh in is next week.

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Which thread is it ye used last year?
How long did ye keep it going or did it just slowly peter out?
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Overweight confessions thread - I should learn to read before writing.

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
It's Spot, the dog.
Pat is a postman...

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
posting this a few hours early as not gonna get chance tomorrow - no blummin change here - still 59kg. All the hard effort put into Bolesworth off-road duathlon on sunday counteracted by birthday cake and celebratory meals with accompanying ales.
Bugger

That'll be a few hours and a week! :o
Weigh in is next week. Not too worry though hopefully you will have made up for the cake by then.

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Blimey, it's been quiet on here since my last visit! Well, I lost 5.2 lbs last week (weighed last thursday for that one) and my next weigh in is this friday (shifts getting in the way of life again!) so that's just over a stone now. Steady progress, which is pleasing.
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
So is it weigh-in day today? So why am I first then (not counting PB's Imperial nonsense)? 66 kg. Nearly there...

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Another kg gone, which takes me to 79. Still moving in the right direction. Would like to move faster.

I have been out running. Seriously accelerated training for the Edale Skyline 21 miles sat, 12 yesterday 10 this morning. Doing wonders for the weight control, I can eat what I like. I am a tad below 71Kg now.
When a few more people have input their change I will update the table.
PB what weight do you want putting down?
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
I suppose I'm about 92.2 now, in metric stuff. I wouldn't bother amending it yet though, I'm getting weighed on friday this week so it's only a couple of days away and I'll have hopefully lost another couple of pounds/a kilo or so...

87.2 for me.
Slowly but surely getting there.
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
I'm happy with my steady progress even though it is a small loss. 65.5kg please. I am definitely running faster up hill, so it's worth the effort.
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Just had my annual weigh in at my mum's...not a happy bunny! Two pounds heavier than normal (at least).

I am down nearly 10Kg in the last year and that is where I see the difference!
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
'nother couple of pounds gone
put me down for 82 kg this time

See that's what's I'm wanting but I feel there's not been much change for me & I felt every bit of the extra pounds on Sunday's Wolf's Pit. I don't know where I'm going wrong & feel quite despondent :(

Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Right, off for a run and back via the scales in the gym.

That's cheating!
weighting yourself straight after a run
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
It was only 4 miles. :D
70.5kg
Now for a beer.
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
74.9kg for me. Weight loss this time is as a result of illness so next weigh in should be more of a true figure.
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
I have lost 0.23kg (half a lb). Well, I probably haven't - I just go up & down all the time. No apparent connection to what I eat or how far I run.
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
Okay
So when I started running again last July, I was 15st 2 (211lb) , now 13st 2 (181lb), aiming for 12st 6 (174lb). I know that is still quite heavy but at 6' 1" and and being big boned (size 13 feet) ....

Have you tried keeping a food diary for a week? Write down EVERYTHING you eat & drink except water. Sometimes just doing that is enough to trigger a change, or you might be able to identify small changes you could make.
-
Re: Overweight to Raceweight g
lost a pound so 58.64 for me, this could take a while!
