The railway station where I drop my daughter had not opened up this morning and the entry shutters were still down and locked  There was a group of very disgruntled commuters outside wondering if someone had had a lie in. I drove her to the next station which was open and she got on a half empty train for once.
:w00t: Me!
But very busy at werk today
I'm not alone
Just waiting for some file transfers to finish myself. I should really go into the office to do them as they have a lot more bandwidth than I have at home. I thought of upgrading my connection but I need an unlimited download really as they are big files so probably need to shop around. The other thing is something is bound to go wrong when I change internet provider and I will end up having to work from the office while it is sorted out and as I haven't got a permanent desk there anymore it could involve a lot of faffing about
Just talking to myself as usual. The cat is fast asleep on the bed at the moment so can't even "talk" to him. Its a lonely old life being a homeworker http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/t...bit/violin.gif:D
I would tell you something interesting, but not a very exciting day round here
....same here, 8 of us sat at work (builders merchant) minus 5 outside, no builders working, rang everyone to see if they want rocksalt, shovels or sledges but we can only take 'no' so many times......
...bored now and i'm supposed to be in charge.....help
Not much going on at work here, so nipped out for a snow run, and cold it was!
First time in the office for over a year today and I am surrounded by strangers! I haven't missed the daily log jam on the M60 though
TFI Friday. Finished for the week
Whooop to that Alf!
Oh no wait... I am finishing off change requests at home

Apparently Punxsutawney Phil forecast good weather for a change but not over here judging by this week's weather forecast.
Its been a slow morning http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps5a0f46a1.gif
Just had my first round of pancakes this year  I managed 5, with various toppings. Some traditional (lemon juice/sugar) and some extra special ones (choc syrup, banana).
YUM! Good job I am not partaking in the overweight to race weight thread :w00t:
Aye, pancakes here too. Just three of 'em!
GF is away this week so that's it though.
Butter and sugar. The king of trad toppings :w00t:
Golden syrup, banana with vanilla sugar, honey.
Raspberry jam
Its not Tuesday!!!!
True! However I will be home alone on Tuesday evening, AND I have an annual engagement with my mate Lucy for a good old pancake nosh, and now I live a significant distance from her house, the weekend is easier... Plus she was offering me Sunday dinner as a pre-pancake warm up, so it would've been rude not to ;)
(I still might have pancakes by myself on Tuesday.. )

I think I will have to do my forum weigh-in on Tuesday morning not Wednesday so I can enjoy my pancakes :D
Good thinking Alf ;) Forward planning so you can load up on pancakey goodness.
I am hungry NOW. I want pancakes.
Pancake day? That crêped up quickly on us again :closed:
"You smell that? Do you smell that? Pancakes, son. Nothing else in the world
smells like that. I love the smell of pancakes in the evening" :D
Boogeration! My pancake specialist daughter is currently in Melbourne whilst the daughter still available for pancake duty is so freakishly uber fit as to not touch 'carbs' with a barge pole in the evenings. I'm pancake-less
Edit: This has nothing to do with getting them to cook them by the way (I like doing that) but just that making and eating pancakes on your own is kind of sad :)
It is kind of sad, however I am home alone tonight and I might sneakily have some shhhhhh!
