Exactly ;)
Only 1 breakfast this morning. I missed the train due to snowy roads and therefore missed the porridge run  Gonna have to eat an apple to tide me over but I don't see it having the desired effect :closed:
Spring has arrived!
Hmmmm weather says it's -5 degrees Alf :sneaky: I'm not convinced Spring should be this cold..
But I do have 1 daffodil in the garden
Just made chocolate brownies with the step daughter
One for me... One for Baby... One for me.... One for Baby... That's how it works isn't it?? :w00t: (I am going to pay for this in a few months time I think :o).
My lap-top is broken and away being fixed. No YouTube and no blog. Can just about see the forum on my Blackberry but posting is a 'mare. I've even tried some of that training. Right hard work it was too. Lord knows how the keen runners go on with all that running? Roll on Friday :closed:
never mind DT
The kettle's almost boiled.
I couldn't get on the forum for a while and now I can. Is it me or was the forum site down for a time ?

Im not going to start a new thread for this question.
Can someone point me in the best direction for snow conditions in the Wasdale area?
If there is such a place to be pointed at.
harumph...
...sigh
Or the scafell pike web cam (fog obscured at the mo). To be fair there is no snow at all in wasdale but there is a snow line (or was a couple of weeks ago) at around the 1,200 to 1,500 feet mark.
Smart, ta for that Stolly.
Think i'll keep an eye on Walking Forums as well. Not that it changes the dates as I'll be booking the hostel accommodation today.
Glad Im not out this weekend. MWIS

South or southwesterly. Rapidly
strengthening with height reaching 70
to 80mph with gusts approaching
100mph.
Severe conditions across the hills,
mobility will be very difficult down
to low levels. Severe wind chill.
A bit windy round here last night and some of my daffs have paid the price unfortunately
Aye, I suspect today's run will be very quick in parts, and very slow in others.
Might have to rethink my destination next week, anywhere north of Sheffield with some hills. Decisions decisions.....
Rolf Harris ?! I could believe it with some of the others (in my judgmental way  ) but Rolf
I know, hoping it isn't true.
 Feeling very achy from this weekend's vigorous gardening sessions. Ooo me back (and me ribs - not sure how?!)... Not to mention my injuries from the thorns and other scratchy things.
On the plus side, I have lots of seeds planted and dandelion patches converted into veg patches, ready for when I can plant them out, as well as much garden tat removed
Our gardens like a little summer meadow just now. really glad we put a bit of work in earlier in the year on the one good day in February or March or whenever it was!! Lovley blue flowers, and daffs and wee hyacinth things from our wedding plus some pansy things that i know arent pansys!
reet nice!!!
There's a local council election today in my area to elect a councilor to replace the recently deceased one.
Its usually a shoe-in for the Conservatives as the lady who died was well liked for all her local actions and
probably picked up votes from people who were not naturally Conservative voters.
The usual political shenanigans are in full flow.
The Libdems who got about 180 votes last time (Conservatives 1800, Labour 800 approx) are saying a vote for Labour is a wasted vote  Labour think they are in with a shout this time and I have had 3 visits from them today (just one from Cons + Libdems).
You never know, our little area could turn out to be a political bellwether for the whole of the country. I am sure David Cameron and Ed Milliband will be monitoring it closely
Conservatives got in again but were 800 votes down on last election: Labour were about 150 votes down and the Liberals were down as well. We had a National Front candidate standing and he got 154 votes !! Better get my fascist sniffer dog out and find out who all these people are
Sporks are handy for dealing with fascists I hear.
Absolutely  Oh and I wasn't implying that the sniffer dogs were fascists just that they had the ability to sniff fascists out. Thought I had better clear that up before the forum dog lovers starting accusing me of political stereotyping of sniffer dogs :D

I wouldn't put it past them, they can goose step.
Who's counting? Hope you have a fast eye ;)

I saw the Police were out searching today again on Blackstone Edge Road as I was driving down to Mytholmroyd. Very sad. http://www.examiner.co.uk/news/local...6081-33243872/
Not a nice task eh Alf. Very sad indeed
