Wednesday- 5 mile on roads AM and 5 miles off road PM.
60 miles on the bike in very wet and fairly breezy conditions. In fact that's as wet as I've been on the bike for a while, thankfully it was quite mild. Flooded back lanes with the water up to the wheel hubs, diesel spills and motorists thinking it's funny to launch a tidal wave at you - glad I got out though
4 More days before I am supposed to run and counting down.
Somewhat pathetically, I'm giving myself a full week off due to my cold - this will be my first 7 day stretch for well over a year with no running at all.
I am however planning a real gut buster of a run for Saturday morning to blow away all the cobwebs :).
:o went for a bit of a run today
really struggled for some reason (even more than normal!!)
9 miles on and off road through swallows wood in Tintwistle, got soaked !
Late afternoon run for me today 7 miles on the roads around Cronton, Tarbock, Whiston and Rainhill.
7 miles on the (flooded) flood plains in north York. Messy, muddy, blustery wind, horizontal rain. Fantastic fun.
Another short (but getting longer!!) mostly road run of 4.25 miles. Felt lethargic early on but the main climb on the way back sorted that out!!
5.5 miles on the road, 2,5 at tempo pace.:)
4.65 mile along the trail paths and around the pastures of Cronton this afternoon. Very wet and muddy on places.
Second half of Edale Skyline with Mrs Stagger and Tea & Cake.
Nice and clear at the start but turned nasty. Cold, very windy, a load of clag and a bit of snow.
Was blowing a real gale on Grindslow Knoll!
Still, a great run out in good company and we even received two calls on Linda's mobile.
4mile to work, 4 mile home at midnight, beer now:cool:
 3 runs in a week for me AND circuit training, it's a miriacle.
just run an hour
Just under an hour of lovely muddy/quagmirish woodland & field paths - loved it:) !!
just over 5 miles around the north end of Lake Garda - sounds great but it's p***ing it down since yesterday morning and I'm at a trade fair, cooped up in a hotel basement all day.
Back home next Thursday. Trying to do something every morning and managed so far.
3 x 4 mile road runs in the week and today did 5 miles around 1500ft in the chew valley, will get out for around 90 minutes tommorow, starting to train a bit more now
Pendle yesterday, 2.5 hours. The training has started for the 3 Peaks !!!
Very wet & boggy underfoot. clag down, cold. Pendle at its finest!
Felt good after, no aches and pains this morning.
11 miles on the roads this morning in light rain. Very windy out in the country lanes.
81 @ 17.5 on the bike. Quite a hard ride not helped by having a cold and bad chest. My 1st off of the year on some spilt diesel, then another rider on the following bend. Thumbs up for Inglesport cafe - service with a smile and free top up.
Another 3.25 mile XC late this afternoon in extremely muddy and heavy conditions. 14.25 mile in total today.
With a hangover:
Bessy Boot Glaramara to Allan Crags and back down through Seathwaite farm back to Rosthwaite
bloody wild up there today but great fun and great company x
Nipped up Great Bourne was stopped in my tracks by the wind on the descent, had to walk  rain hammering down as well stinging me through my cag, but boy was that soak in the bath good :D
90 minutes on moors.
circuit training today... wonder if i will be running tomorrow - probably not, expect i will be having trouble walking :o
When are you having a recce of part of the 3 peaks itself? Might join you then as long as you dont set off too early!
Having returned from ski holiday with a wrenched shoulder from a rather ungainly face plant, I had a very unpleasant 2 hour trudge this afternoon accross the Oswaldtwistle Moors and return via Musberry Heights including the Tor (mostly the old Rossendale Way leg 5 route in reverse). Shoulder sore but nothing a few beers tonight wont put right!!
Raced to train today - Clay Bank East over on the North York Moors - really good fun. A successful day.
Some of the windiest conditions I've ever run in!
Crowden > Lad's Leap > Tintwistle > Chew Res > Laddow > Crowden.
Up to my waist in peat twice.
Lovely!
40 miles on the bike this morning, legs still a bit tired from yesterday. Couple of short runs penciled in for this week and a couple more bikes before training gets interrupted by work.
A 4 mile leg loosener up and back the canal in Leeds this lunchtime. Chuffing boring to be honest.
short run this morning to loosen up after yesterdays circuits.... feel stiffer now :D can't wait for DOMS tomorrw
45 minutes on the roads....bring on summer
4.5 off road, hilly, boggy to work. 1 mile home downhill, lift with workmate the first 3 miles. Knackered after 2-10 shift. Don't see me kids enough on this shift:(
First proper run since my fall last Monday on the hill intervals. Ankle a little shakey on the rough stuff still.
Monday Night road race series 6.45 miles 1000ft in 45.03 near the Strines road.
If any one is interested they are great training.
A sloppy 30 minute trail run. 1st run in 2 weeks to ease me and my calf back into it. Going to build it up slowly and follow physio's core stabilty routine.
There's a lot of water in and on the ground - there will be floods soon.
5 mile on the road, 4.5 at tempo pace
No training today. No sleep last night either for that matter. Awaiting arrival of latest addition to the family.
