Strong sideburn game from the now sadly deceased 70's glam rocker
Only 4 of us on here at the moment!
Fairly quiet!
B. Hell. RIP Jack Bruce. Come to that time in life where all my heroes, icons or whatever people call them, will, as I will, pass on. In the words of another Long May You Run. For Jack and us all.
Aye, Zimmer. Poor old Jack. Mind you, he'd been ill for a while.
Amazing groups who have fallen members.
Cream
Pink Floyd
Queen
Led Zep
Deep Purple
Beatles
and so on and on.
Our youth is slowly passing in front of our eyes.
Come on Wheeze, Live for today not for what has been.
Not a bad innings though compared with some. 'Sunshine of your love' introduced me to the Bass guitar and its capabilities, RIP Jack.
Jack Bruce RIP
I regularly play my vinyl "Songs for a tailor", thought it deserved far more recognition. RIP Jack Bruce, a great musician.
erm.............its Only Rock and Roll But I Like It!
Have you read the fella from Chic's book Wheeze? Brilliant; and interestingly he recounts around the time of the "Disco Sucks" movement he was astounded by some peoples reaction to his band's music. He thought he was playing rock and roll. Everything from Ella and Louis, Marvin Gaye, Howling Wolf, the Beatles . . . it was all rock and roll to him
is that Nile Rodgers? love that guys work.
That's him. Morgan Williams recommended the book on that new-fangled Facebook. I'm not a member; I use it to stalk the wife
Me, I'm resting my quads after a delicious bashing on Saturday!

Early for me. Best time of the day.
Rainy Around Here - a really foul evening!
Indeed, fouler than a foul thing on a foul day in the middle of the annual fowl fanciers festival.
Glad I ran this morning and not tonight.
Interesting exercise. Does one pick favourite genres and then appropriate artists? Is it better to go for the artists irrespective of genre? The best might well transcend genres
My opener for one has been discussed here before: Veedon Fleece by George Ivan Morrison. Staggering vocals and a superb consistently high quality collection of songs
Stagger has poor vocals.
The beer drinker's prayerOur beer
Which art in bottles
Hallowed by thy sport
Thy will be drunk I will be drunk
At home as it is in the pub
Give us each day our daily schooners
And forgive us our spillage
As we forgive those who spillest against us
And lead us not into the practice of poofy wine tasting
And deliver us from Tequila
For mine is the bitter
The talent and the footy
Forever and ever
Barmen.
I am not unimpressed with that choice since Astral Weeks is my # 6 (I do have Veedon Fleece) . Of course the bald, bloated, obnoxious tub of lard then released it 36 more times under different titles in increasingly diluted versions of his master piece: but to get it right once is more than most artists do.
My #1; The "Sun" Recordings EP
#2 Blood on the Tracks BD.
